The carbonara here is the real deal. Creamy, rich, with just the right amount of pepper. I always judge a place by their carbonara, and this one didn't disappoint. The menu's got plenty else too, but that pasta is the reason I keep coming back.

The octopus rice was a real standout. They had a nice German Riesling by the glass that paired surprisingly well with it. Menu's a bit all over the place, but that dish worked.

The basic soup curry was decent, a bit spicy for my taste but still pretty good. Service was friendly and prompt. A solid choice if you're in the area.

No. 3 of Must-Visit Restaurants in Hakodate

Perfect for a quick lunch. Ramen broth was good, chashu was super tender. Gyoza tasted fresh, probably handmade. Got my food in under 10 minutes. Just what I needed.

Been coming here for years. Their bread dough is just that good, makes everything taste right.

Staff helped me with the ticket machine, which was nice. The place itself is pretty spacious and comfortable. But honestly, for the price, the portion sizes felt a bit on the smaller side.

Came here to work for a few hours. The free Wi-Fi and outlets are a lifesaver. Ordered the mini bento boxes to go—you can stack them yourself. The salmon roe one was really good. Portions are decent for the price. It was quiet on a weekday afternoon.

The Cisco Rice really hit the spot. It's got that simple, home-cooked flavor. The retro diner vibe is super cozy. Just a nice, relaxed place to eat.

The fried rice was a nice side to my ramen. It had that good salty, savory flavor. Could have used a bit more wok hei maybe, but it did the job.

Perfect spot for a quick bite by the station. The staff were lovely and efficient. I grabbed a local craft beer with my meal—it was a nice, simple pairing that hit the spot.

The Tokachi beef steak was so tender and filling. I really liked how the lighting was soft, not too bright. Made the whole meal feel relaxed.

I enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Matsumae, where the eel was prepared perfectly. The generous portions and local ingredients made it a memorable meal.

Convenient spot inside Don Quijote. Got the lunch set, came out fast. Perfect for a quick bite between errands. A bit hard to find the entrance at first, but worth it for the speed.

The gelato was just the right level of sweetness, not cloying at all. I really appreciated that. The pistachio flavor tasted so fresh and natural. A lovely, relaxed spot to enjoy a simple, quality treat.

The cold 100% buckwheat soba is the one to get. Good chew on the noodles, and the dipping broth is refreshing.

I was really impressed by how they served the tea. They brought out my two chosen teas in separate pots, each at the perfect time so I could enjoy the flavors fully. A nice touch.

I like picking my own sides from the display case. The simmered mackerel today was just right—tender, not too salty. Felt like a home-cooked meal. The grilled salmon was a bit dry though.

The drip coffee was great, you can pick how strong you want it! Perfect for catching up with a friend.
