No. 4 of Local Restaurants in Kathmandu

Salad was fresh, dressing on point. Price fair for what you get. Bathroom situation though... kinda rough. Not gonna lie, that part stuck with me more than the food. Solid spot if you're in the area and hungry, just maybe handle your business before you go.

Been back twice just for the Mexicali pizza. That thing’s got a nice kick, crust holds up well. Mint lemonade on the side, not too sweet, pretty refreshing. Place gets busy around dinner but whatever. Solid spot if you’re in the area and want something quick.

Dhal bhat was solid, cooked well. Apple pie surprised me, decent after a heavy meal. Sat on the small balcony, nice view but street noise comes through. Typical Kathmandu. Service was quick enough, no complaints. Fair price for what you get. I'd stop by again if I'm in the area.

The coffee here is really well-made, I’ll give them that. I tried their cappuccino and the milk was steamed just right, not too hot. The beans tasted fresh, which is important to me. It’s a little expensive for a regular cup, but I guess you pay for the cozy seating and soft music. I’d come back if I’m in the area.

The chicken wrap was tasty but the chicken portion felt small. Jhol momo needed more flavor though. Prices are fair.

Visit Ananda Tree House for healthy and good food & drinks. Vegetarian restaurant and cafe in Boudha. Special organic handmade coffee

Coffee was solid, hand-brewed and strong. Walnut brownie hit the spot too. Place gets busy around noon but service stays quick. Good for a fast bite in Thamel.

The seating area is really comfortable, nice spot to just sit and watch people go by. Service was friendly enough, though a bit slow when it got busy. Brownie was okay, masala tea could be better.

Grilled chicken burger was solid, filet steak cooked right. Servers knew the menu and gave decent recs without hovering. Good spot if you're after a no-fuss meal.

Lively spot for a group night out. We grabbed drinks at the bar and shared a few plates—menu's got enough variety to please everyone. Music was a nice touch, though it got a bit loud for chatting.

The live band absolutely carried the night—great energy, not too loud to talk over. Drinks were on the pricier side for this area, which stung a little, but honestly the music made up for it. I’d come back just for the vibe on a weekend.

The chicken sizzler is still the one I keep coming back for. Meat’s tender, gravy’s rich. Portion’s big enough that the slightly higher bill doesn’t bother me.

Lovely green interior, flat white was solid. Bit pricey and service dragged, but fine for breakfast.

Centrally located with a great selection of food, this restaurant offers excellent service and a nice layout.

Restaurant in Basera Boutique Hotel - Kathmandu's Hidden Escape

Stopped by for a coffee after walking around Durbar Marg. Place looks nice, calm in the middle of all that traffic. Coffee came in a fancy way, tasted good too. Not the cheapest but fine for the area. Good spot to sit for a bit and watch people go by.

The rice pudding here is proper. Creamy, not overloaded with sugar, tastes like they actually care about what they serve. Place has that old-school feel, nothing fancy but comfortable. Had it after lunch and honestly could've just come for the pudding alone. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Been here a few times now. Coffee's always strong, and the seating is comfy enough to lose track of time reading. Staff leaves you alone, which I appreciate.

Came for a coffee, ended up ordering the paneer tikka masala. It was rich and the paneer was soft. The seat near the window was comfortable enough to just sit and finish my drink slowly. WiFi worked fine too. Maybe a little loud when it got busy, but I didn't mind much.

The momos here were soft and fresh, exactly what I needed after walking around Thamel. Prices felt fair for the portion. Just wish the place had a bit more airflow, got a little warm inside. Still, a solid stop if you're nearby.

This place has an amazing view and offers a good selection of food. I highly recommend trying the brownie with ice cream and the unique chicken sizzler!
