The steak and ale pie was the standout. Rich, dark gravy, tender beef that fell apart, and a proper flaky pastry top. The mash was creamy, not lumpy. That's the kind of pub food you come back for.

The kitchen did a decent job getting all our food out hot for a large group.

The modern decor is quite nice. We got a table by the window, which was perfect for watching the street go by. A pleasant spot for a quiet lunch.

Really nice local spot near the station. The service was lovely, staff were so attentive. Food was good, my lamb curry was spot on. A bit cosy inside, but that's part of the charm.

The food was so fresh and tasty, especially the grilled salmon. It was a quiet spot, perfect for catching up with a friend without shouting over loud music. Found street parking just outside, which was a huge plus.

Food came out quick. Tasty, the lamb shank was tender and the sauce had a nice depth. Could've used a bit more seasoning on the veg, but the main event was solid.

Breakfast has some creative options, not just the usual fry-up. Nespresso in the room is a handy perk for a quick start.

A nice spot that welcomes dogs, which is a plus. We had the fish and chips, decent portion for the price. The vibe was relaxed, good for a casual meal. Just a bit pricey on the drinks.

Staff were super friendly even when it was rammed. Really looked after our big group, checked on allergies and stuff. Made it easy.

Popped in for the theme night set menu. Three courses for £20, the soup was proper homemade. Felt like a proper meal, left absolutely stuffed.

The onion bhaji starter is huge, definitely enough to share. Came out steaming hot, which was nice on a chilly evening. Good portion sizes all round.

I went for their lunch set - a starter and a main. The salad was crisp, and the grilled chicken was tender. It's nice to see fresh ingredients at that price point.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We lingered over our pasta and wine, never felt hurried at all. Just a really pleasant, unhurried evening.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper local pub, not fancy. The beer's always good, and the rooms upstairs are clean. Staff are friendly. Does what it says on the tin.

Great spot for a post-workout meal. The ingredients in my salad were wonderfully fresh.

First time here. Staff and other guests were really welcoming. Good choice of drinks, especially the ciders. Food looked decent too.

Popped in for a quick lunch. The club sandwich was decent, nothing fancy, but the portion was huge. Couldn't finish it all. For the price, you definitely get your money's worth. Good spot if you're hungry.

The fish and chips were lovely, and the staff were so friendly. The seats were comfortable too, which made for a really relaxed lunch.

Been coming here for years. The laksa broth is the reason - it's always rich and spicy, just like I remember it from my first visit. A bit pricier now, but that flavour is consistent. My go-to comfort food spot.

The fish and chips are always spot on. The batter is so light and crisp, just how I like it. The chips are proper thick-cut and never feel oily. A solid choice.

The set menu is such a steal! The French onion soup was so rich and the duck liver parfait portion was huge. Perfect for sharing with a friend before a night out.

The tuna platter and salmon bento looked lovely. The fish was very fresh, which I always appreciate. They did forget a small side, but the staff noticed and apologised right away.

Stopped in for a steak, but the seabass and haddock with triple-cooked chips caught my eye. Really nicely done. Didn't expect that here.

The tapas were incredible, especially the gambas al ajillo. The prawns were so fresh, cooked just right in that garlic oil. Flavours were subtle but really came through. Best I've had in ages.

Visiting friends in the area and they booked this spot. The grilled mixed platter for five was the main event. Every cut was cooked just right, especially those lamb chops. The wine list had a decent Turkish red that paired beautifully with the smoky meat. Service was spot on. A solid meal, though the journey back is a bit of a trek for us.

The staff were so sweet with my little granddaughters. They brought extra napkins without being asked and didn't mind the crayons on the floor. Made the whole lunch much less stressful.
