Portions are huge! The tuna salad was packed with actual tuna, not just greens. My pasta dish could have easily fed two people. Had to take half of it home.

Got there at 9 AM sharp and there was already a short line. The buns are made by hand right there, you can watch them. They come out warm and soft, perfect for a chilly morning.

Decaf coffee was surprisingly strong and bitter, just how I like it. The rare cheesecake was a perfect match. Good to see a place that takes decaf seriously.

Been coming here for years. The staff always remember my usual order, and they're just genuinely nice people. It's that kind of consistent, friendly service that keeps me coming back.

The onsen manju are freshly made here. The dough is soft and fluffy, and the red bean filling isn't too sweet, which is nice. A pretty good little treat.

Stumbled upon this place after visiting the monkeys. It's a short walk from the bus stop, which was perfect. The English menu was a lifesaver. I tried the curry udon—the broth was so rich and warming on a cold day.

A bit tricky to find down the alley, but the vibe inside is nice and relaxed. Had a pretty good lunch here. The pasta was decent, though the portion felt a touch small for the price.

No parking lot, but they give you 100 yen back if you show a paid parking receipt. Handy for drivers.

Cozy spot, good service. The menu is familiar, which is nice. Had the chicken katsu curry – the curry sauce was rich, but the cutlet could have been a bit crispier. Still, a satisfying meal.

Busy spot in Kusatsu, great for a quick lunch. Had the Acorn Hamburg Steak. Patty was juicy, sauce had lots of veggies. Cheese on top was good. Got my food fast, which I needed.

Came for the weekday lunch set. It's a good deal, comes with a drink and the portion was just right for me. The kimchi on the side was really nice, had a good crunch to it. The space itself is bright and the wooden tables make it feel relaxed.

Stopped by for lunch, got the tempura set. You pick two sides, went with the matsutake chawanmushi. That was the highlight, really nice. Tempura was fresh and crispy. Simple, solid meal.

The little museum's collection of kokeshi dolls and old artifacts was a nice surprise. Spent a good 20 minutes just looking at the details on the dolls. A quiet spot before dinner.

Service was quick and friendly. The waiter took time to explain the menu, even checked on my allergy. Didn't feel rushed at all. 👍

Been coming here for years. The doria with that melted cheese on top is still the same as I remember. Always hits the spot.

Been coming here for years. It's quiet even at lunch, good for a relaxed meal. Their shrimp tempura is always crispy, never greasy. A solid spot.

A solid lunch spot in Kusatsu. The grilled mackerel set was cooked just right, not dry at all. Portion was decent for the price. Service was quick, got my order in under 15 minutes.
