Stopped in for lunch on a rainy walk. The welcome was genuinely warm, even with a soggy dog in tow. My lamb hotpot was spot on—rich, tender, and just what you need on a damp day. A really nice vibe in here.

Been coming here for years. The staff always remember my name and my usual order. That's what keeps me coming back.

Had a private do here. James and the team were brilliant, really on it. Kept popping over to make sure we were all good. The BBQ spread was generous, everyone got fed.

Booked for a busy Monday, got seated fast. Menu's huge, portions are massive. Had the steak frites, cooked just right. Quick and solid for a weeknight dinner.

Been here a few times now. The food is always spot on, you can tell the chef really cares about what they're putting out. That's what keeps me coming back.

The beef pie was the star for me. Flaky pastry, rich filling, just spot on. Honestly the best I've had. The rest of the meal was nice, but that pie made the visit.

Perfectly located in the town centre, just a short walk from the station. Managed to get a table without any fuss on a busy Saturday, which was a nice surprise. The space itself is really light and airy, with high ceilings and big windows.

Been a few times now, always a good time. They've got those outdoor heaters and blankets, really makes a difference on a cool evening. Music's just right, not too loud. It's a nice, relaxed spot.

Lovely spot after a long walk in the North Pennines. They have a really good selection of local ales. The staff were friendly and the seating was comfortable, which was just what I needed.

The staff were so lovely! They made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. Service was quick and friendly, which is perfect when you're catching up with friends and don't want to wait around.

Parking was a breeze, which is always a plus. The food arrived promptly and piping hot. My only note is that the wine list felt a bit limited for the menu—a more thoughtful pairing selection would really complement those hearty dishes.

The small plates menu is a real winner after their recent tweaks. The grilled octopus was spot on, and the burrata with heirloom tomatoes was super fresh. Perfect for sharing with a couple of friends.

The staff were so kind to fit us in for a birthday without a reservation. They even brought out our cake, which was a lovely touch.

Popped in for lunch. The grilled salmon was really good, fresh and cooked just right. Service was quick and friendly. Might stop by again if I'm in the area.

Love the quirky decor here. Staff are really friendly too. Their 6% pub IPA is solid, and the fridges have some interesting finds.

Came here for New Year's Eve. They started us off with a glass of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The tables had a good spread of meats and cheeses to nibble on. It was a relaxed, friendly evening - the karaoke was fun without being too loud or overwhelming.

Been here a few times now. The sausages are always spot on, not greasy at all. Pizzas are solid, simple, and just what you want. Staff are friendly, place is relaxed. Good for a straightforward meal.

Great spot for a sunny afternoon! The outdoor seating at the back was lovely, and the little play area kept my friend's toddler happy for ages. We just had drinks, but the garden felt really relaxed.

Nice spot for a special dinner. The view over the river is lovely. Food was pretty good, especially the sea bass. A bit on the pricey side, but the service was attentive.

Great vibe with the live guitarist playing rock tunes. Ended up staying for an extra round.

Came here for a quick coffee and ended up staying for a steak. The beef was cooked just right, really tasty. But honestly, for the portion size, the price felt a bit steep. Good spot, but you're paying for the location.

The lamb shank was the standout. Cooked for hours, it fell apart with just a fork. The red wine sauce was rich and deep, not too sweet. Portion was generous. Could have used a bit more seasoning on the meat itself, but the sauce covered it.

The full English breakfast is a good deal. Sausages had a nice snap, the bacon was properly crispy, and the black pudding was spot on. The beans were a bit too sweet for my taste, but the eggs were cooked just right. Solid portion for the price.

The Cumberland Ale was a great match for the Cowboy Burger. Generous portions, and the sticky toffee pudding was a treat.

A lovely dog-friendly pub in the heart of Keswick. The staff were so welcoming, even for our walk-in group with a pram. The atmosphere is warm and the pub itself is clean and cozy.

The waitress was absolutely on it, really knew her stuff. Suggested a local ale that went perfectly with the hearty steak pie. Portions are generous, proper pub food. Service like that is a rare treat these days.

Love the vibe in this old building! Came for a drink with mates, and the original features are so cool. Felt like stepping back in time. A really unique spot for a casual catch-up.

Great spot for a quick lunch. Found a table outside, service was fast. Fish and chips were decent, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Good for when you're in a rush.

Been here for their afternoon tea a few times. Sandwiches are fresh, scones are warm. Service is always spot on. It's a decent option if you're in the area and fancy a cuppa.
