Small, cosy space with tables quite close together. Good for focusing on the food. The pistachio and chocolate gelato were excellent, genuinely on par with what I&#39;ve had in Italy.

Live music on weekends is a nice touch. It adds to the ambience without being too loud for conversation. Good for a relaxed business dinner.

The bar has a great selection of beers, some really nice European ones. I had the pork scratchings with mine &ndash; a perfect little snack. The stools at the bar are quite high though, not the most comfortable for a longer sit.

A decent fish and chips spot, a bit of a find in Headingley. The fish is fried fresh, so you do wait a few minutes. Batter was crisp, not too heavy, and the fish itself was nicely flaky. Pretty good for the price.

Proper old-school curry house. They still do the handwritten bills, even on a packed Saturday.

Ive not been in the Cardigan Arms for around 30 years. I was delighted that the magnificent decor, furniture and layout hadnt been changed and that they were now serving food. I had a fabulous beef Sunday roast and my neighbour had succulent gammon, Yorkshire puds etc. I asked for extra gravy, which was delicious and horse raddish.  The staff were really helpful, infact quite charming.  A good selection of beers, wines and a well stacked bar.  Easy access from the street and plenty of parking. As an ex-Secret Diner, it really ticked all the boxes for me.  Thanks Liam, your a great chef

The staff here are just lovely. James remembered my name, and Nicole was so kind when I couldn&#39;t decide on a wine. They make you feel genuinely looked after. A really nice touch.

The tomahawk for two was cooked just right, juicy and flavourful. The sides it came with were a nice touch, made it feel like a proper meal. Could have used a bit more seasoning on the steak itself, but the meat quality was solid.
