Cute little bar right by the station. Got a beer before my train and the price was fair. Service was quick too. Good spot if you're killing time. 🍺

The pulled pork in the Navajo Eggs was super tender, definitely the highlight. Pancakes were fine too. Service was friendly, no complaints there. 😊

Been coming here for a while now, and the Tiramisu Latte is still my go-to. Rich flavor, not too sweet, and it goes great with their chocolate cake. Place gets busy but the vibe stays warm. Staff remembers regulars, which is always a plus. Only thing is parking can be a bit of a hassle, but that's the area for you.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The menu was impressive, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable.

The cocktails were good, and I liked that they had proper non-alcoholic options too. Vibe is chill, a little hipster but not trying too hard. Prices felt fair for the quality. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but I'd still go back for a drink.

Stopped by late for a sweet fix and grabbed the Nutella waffle. Hit the spot, no question. Bit steep for what you get, but honestly the flavor carried it. Would've loved a proper dessert wine to go with it, but that's on me for the hour. Fine spot if you're nearby and craving something warm.

Been coming here for a while now, and the menu still holds up. Plenty of veggie options, which is why I keep going back. Staff remembered me this time, that was nice. Place stays clean too, even on busy evenings. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Solid choice if you're in the area.

The schnitzel was decent, though I expected more given the reviews. Staff were friendly enough, and the rock & roll playlist added a nice touch. Place has a bit of a nostalgic vibe. Fine for a casual meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

The pizza was decent but nothing crazy. Location's the real win here—right by the old church, pretty at night. Service was fine for how packed it was. Solid for a quick bite.

The sweet chili chicken pizza was solid—crispy crust, loads of toppings. Mohammed and Abba took good care of us.

I had a fantastic experience with the Italian food here! The chef is exceptional, and the owner is very friendly. It's definitely a great value for money.

The espresso is solid — proper double shot, not the usual watery stuff. Interior’s comfortable enough. Service slows down a bit on the terrace, so plan accordingly.

My husband and I came to your wonderful restaurant yesterday evening with friends. This is the second time that we have visited Restaurant Johannes. Exceptional and friendly service, absolutely delicious food and a marvelous atmosphere. We live in Westerhaar in Overijssel and will certainly visit you again. Thank you for the fabulous evening. Best Wishes Belinda and Wim Noppers

The food was excellent, with a fantastic selection of high-quality meats cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place!

Stopped by for a late lunch after the museum. Food was simple but decent, and the staff kept things moving. Kitchen looked spotless. Busy but got a table right away.

We tried the 5-course chef's menu. The ingredients felt really fresh, especially the fish course. I'm picky about that. Wine pairing was nice too, not too heavy. Only thing, the pacing was a bit slow between courses. But the food itself was solid. I'd come back for the seasonal menu.

Been coming here for a while now. Food stays fresh and they've got solid vegan and gluten-free options. Prices are fair for what you get, never had a complaint.

Stopped here during a bike ride and had the goulash with a lager. Hit the spot after cycling. Staff were friendly and let us take our time. Seats outside were comfortable enough to just sit and relax for a bit. Nothing fancy, but it worked well for what we needed.

The curries here are really good. Rich and fragrant, not too spicy, which I liked. The beef was tender, chicken too. I finished my rice and kept dipping into the sauce. Only thing is the seating is a bit cramped, but the food made up for it. Friendly staff as well.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday. Got the rainbow bowl, it was fresh and tasty, but honestly a bit small for the price. Place is cozy, staff friendly enough. Gets pretty crowded though, had to wait a bit for a table. Fine if you're in the neighbourhood and want something healthy.

Cozy spot, decor’s got character. Food was genuinely good, some of the best I’ve had around here. Staff seemed happy too.

Been coming here for a few summers now. Still the best spot in the city to sit outside by the water with a drink in hand. Food's alright, nothing crazy, and yeah it's a bit pricey for what lands on the plate. But honestly the view does most of the work. I keep coming back for that.

The cardamom buns were still warm and so gooey, exactly what I needed. My cappuccino was solid too. Cozy spot to hang with friends for a bit ☕️

The French onion soup was properly done, salty and cheesy just how I like it. Vitello tonnato and the artichoke were nice too. Portions are on the smaller side though, and you definitely pay for the location. Fine for a one-time try, but I wouldn't call it a bargain.

The croque madame was properly done, nice and crispy on the outside. Service dragged a bit, but I'd sit through it again for that sandwich.

The egg dishes are the real draw here. Had the carbonara with guanciale in a brioche—rich, pretty satisfying. Shakshuka had a decent spicy kick too. Only downside was the wait, even on a weekday. Place is small, so you'll stand around a bit. Fine if you're not in a hurry.

Tuna tataki was fresh and had real flavor. Staff got me in and out quick, which I appreciate on a lunch break. Solid spot if you need a fast bite.

The beef bitterballen were proper—crispy shell, soft inside, and honestly the best price I came across in the city. I grabbed a small fries too, plenty for two. Staff had a good vibe, not rushing anyone. Only thing, seating’s limited inside, so we stood by the bar. Worked fine with a cold beer though.
