Been a regular here for ages. They're always so consistent. The welcome is genuinely warm. Had a little spill last time and the staff handled it brilliantly, no fuss at all.

The jacket potato was huge! Loaded with cheese and beans, and under £8. I was pretty happy with that.

Really nice staff, they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It was a busy Friday night but they still took the time to chat a bit. That kind of service makes a difference.

Pad Thai was spot on. Quick service, got my order in under 10 minutes. The sauce was nicely balanced, good wok hei. Perfect for a fast lunch.

The coffee's good, but the real star was the wine list - a surprisingly thoughtful selection for a casual spot. The upstairs space is lovely, just a bit loud for calls.

Friendly staff and solid coffee. Just popped in for a flat white and a croissant – both hit the spot. It’s become my go-to in Brighton and Hove when I’m just wandering around.

A solid spot for a casual bite. The all-day breakfast is the highlight - eggs were spot on, bacon crispy, and the portion is generous for the price. It does get quite busy in that small space, so timing is everything. Staff were lovely and quick.

Stumbled upon this place completely by chance. The seafood linguine was so fresh, you could taste the sea. Portions are generous for the price, honestly. A nice little find.

The set menu here is a solid deal. Plenty of options, and the portions are huge. I couldn't finish mine, ended up taking half home. For the price, you definitely get your money's worth.

Been a few times, always nice. Baristas are polite when it's quiet.

Great for big office orders. Everything comes in labelled boxes, no mix-ups. Got lunch for the team sorted in no time. Reliable and quick.

The owner's complimentary liqueur at the end was a nice touch. A smooth digestif, not too sweet. It was a good way to finish.

A nice little spot for Keane fans. The cafe from the music video is a fun bit of nostalgia. They've got some band photos up inside, which is a decent touch. The coffee was fine, nothing too special.

Tried the roast beef dinner here for the first time. It was the highlight of my Sunday - the beef was so tender and the gravy was spot on. Really lovely spot for a proper roast.

The Aloo Bara was lovely. Their lamb dishes are particularly good, they really know how to handle their spices. A solid spot for a decent meal.

The lamb tikka masala was packed with flavour, really rich and aromatic. The sauce was the star for sure. Just a shame the lamb pieces were a touch chewy. Still, I'd order it again for that sauce.

Love the smashed avocado on toast. The eggs royale is a solid choice too. Got there around 9 and it was nice and quiet, had a good spot by the window.

Lunch for seven on a wet and windy day. Food was excellent and attractively presented. The service was excellent, with happy, helpful staff, although the restaurant was not crowded at 2.30pm. Importantly, the bar and restaurant rooms were not crammed into the place - there was room to breathe. Also, the carpeted floor in the restaurant area made a huge difference to the acoustics - we could enjoy the food and the conversation.I'd be happy to recommend the Devil's Dyke to anyone.

Stopped by for a coffee. The garden area is really clean and bright, nice spot to sit. They even had blankets on the chairs which was a thoughtful touch. Cappuccino was good, staff were friendly.

The Singapore vermicelli was the highlight. The noodles had a nice wok hei flavour, and the prawns were cooked just right. Could've used a bit more of it though.

Been coming here for years. It’s my go-to for a solid breakfast before grabbing a pint. The sausage bap is always spot on, and the beer list keeps me coming back. Simple, reliable, just how I like it.

Great spot for a quick bite. Service was friendly and fast, perfect for a short lunch break. The casual vibe is nice for watching the street. Food came out quickly, which I really appreciate.

Best coffee in Hove. Rich flavour. Owner's friendly, makes you feel at home. That's it really.

Cosy little pub, perfect for a quiet drink. The decor is lovely and the music isn't too loud, which is a big plus for me. Just a nice, relaxed spot to unwind.
