Best Indian in the Northern Rivers - I always stop by for my favourite Chicken Vindaloo whenever I&#39;m in Lismore. The food is authentic Indian and served with a friendly smile. Don&#39;t be put off by the uninspiring frontage, step inside and treat yourself. Lunch special for $10 is a genuine bargain and the restaurant is licenced, with $6 Stone and Wood beers until 6pm. Highly recommend.

Best restaurant I&rsquo;ve been to. So welcoming and honest staff. Easy to talk to. My partner and I have a story behind going here, so we are sad to know the business is closing.

Our first time in Byron and The Forest didn&rsquo;t disappoint one bit. We were 40minutes late to our dinner reservation and were still greeted and treated the best by all the staff members. The venue is very modern with a beautiful rustic twist to it after the sunsets. Never in my life have a wanted to drink wine&hellip; however, with the degustation menu we received paired wines with each meal. They all paired and went down amazingly well. The calamari and chips are cooked to order. Squid is tender, batter is light and crisp. Chips are proper thick-cut and golden. That&#39;s the main thing.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly. The queue was quite long but worth the wait. The only problem was the meat raffles were loud but to be expected in a sports club. All in all a fantastic place to go!!

A place to gather with friends or just for two, my husband and I enjoyed a casual lunch. Good friendly service and we chose the seniors ceaser chicken salad 🥗 😋 tasty and a good size meal.

The sommelier really knew her stuff. She suggested a lovely Italian white to go with my grilled fish, and it was spot on. The wine list had some interesting organic options too, which I always appreciate. A nice touch for a relaxed dinner.

Great spot for a sunny lunch with the pup. The outdoor tables are a real plus. Tried the daily pasta special&mdash;really fresh and light, just what you want when it&#39;s warm. Could&#39;ve used a bit more sauce for my taste, but still a nice, simple dish.

Jance and Ilona were so lovely. They remembered my name from the booking and checked in just the right amount. Felt genuinely looked after without it being over the top. A nice touch.

Great food, great service. Staff always happy and helpful. Can&rsquo;t wait til the bistro renovations start next year.  It so needs a makeover .
