The downstairs area is a nice escape from the street noise. The vaulted ceilings give it a unique, almost cave-like feel. The music playlist was well-chosen and not too loud. Good spot for a focused business lunch.

The draft selection here is pretty good, with some unique options. The pastrami sandwich was a solid choice to go with it.

Been coming here for years, and the patatas bravas are why. That sauce they do – it's the same every time, just the right kick. Small menu, but I keep ordering the same thing.

A cute little spot for Greek food. Loved the variety of vegetarian options.

This is a fantastic restaurant in the Ventas area of Madrid. Such a relaxed set up with a family run spirit. Real ‘comida casera’. Came with my two children and wife. Lovely three milk cake to finish off with, and plenty of vegetarian options.

Loved the lighting here, so soft and warm. The art on the walls was a cool touch, changed up the vibe a bit. A really peaceful spot to unwind. They've got Pomal cider on tap too, which was a nice find.

Service was quick and efficient. Got my order in and out in under 30 minutes. Perfect for a quick lunch break. Prices are fair for the area.

Been here a few times. The music is good, not too loud. Decor is modern and clean, makes for a relaxed dinner. It's a nice spot for a quiet evening.

Just had their salmon poke bowl for the first time. The fish was super fresh, and I liked how they balanced all the toppings. It was filling but didn't leave me feeling stuffed. A nice lunch spot!

The lentil stew here is so good! It really tastes like someone's grandma made it. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends, and the price is super fair. We just kept ordering more bread to go with it.

Great little tapas spot. The staff were really thoughtful. What stood out for me was the wine list – they had a lovely, light Spanish red that paired perfectly with the charcuterie board. Made the whole evening.

Had a great dinner here, very cozy spot. The steak was cooked just right. Their wine list is solid, found a nice Cabernet that paired perfectly with it. Service was friendly, made the evening feel relaxed.

The corn-based dishes are a great option for gluten-free folks. Their homemade cheese is fantastic.

Decent spot. The burger was pretty good, just as people say. The vibe is fine, nothing too loud. A solid choice if you're in the area.

Nice place by Royal Palace to have lunch, a drink or dinner..Perfect atmosphere and service....

The wine list was a pleasant surprise, with some interesting Spanish options. We spent about 45-50€ per person including drinks. A couple of dishes felt a bit pricey, but the quality was solid for Madrid.

Been coming here for years. The Sunday afternoon crew is always so nice. They remember my usual order and never rush me out. It's that kind of steady, friendly vibe that keeps me coming back.

After traveling for two weeks, the chef's kind suggestions and explanations made this meal a highlight. The flavors were spot on.

The salads here are quite original. I had one with fresh fruits, nicely presented. The restaurant itself is spacious and elegant, service was friendly. A decent spot for a relaxed meal.

The staff was so friendly and helped us pick from the Spanish menu. They suggested a few things and we loved their choices. It made the whole evening really relaxed and easy.

The pastries are handmade and fantastic. Coffee's great too, from small roasters. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

The Neapolitan pizza here is authentic and clearly made with care. The crust is just right, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. What stood out for me was the comfortable seating—spaced well apart so you're not on top of other tables. A very relaxing spot for a quiet meal.

The set menu is a steal at 10-11 euros for a full meal. The food is simple and hearty, just like home cooking.

Stopped by for a drink downstairs. The sangria was really good, not too sweet. Staff was nice. Just a chill spot to unwind for a bit.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews on here but La Tasca de Retiro deserves one . Sometimes when you book places with decent discounts you turn up to an empty restaurant. This was not the case here . Not only that but the prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food outstanding. The tenderest octopus I can remember for a long time , delightfully crisp aubergine sticks with salmorejo , well presented goat’s cheese salad , and a rich meaty rabo de toro timbale. Discount automatically applied and great value even after having ordered a moderately expensive wine.

The food was excellent and the price was good. A lot of dishes to choose from the menu. We enjoyed a lot the food and we will comeback soon. We have to try more dishes!

This was a very pleasant discovery. Excellent margarita's and a great variety of Mexican food, everything we had was very tasty and came in nice quantities which makes it easy to combine different plates. Very friendly service in an informal setting.

We wanted to order a few vegetarian dishes not in the menu. The owner willingly did it for us. They all tasted great the vegetarian paella, patatas Bravas n Champinion ajillo. Thank u for all the yummy food

Highly recommend!!!! I will be coming back pretty soon. Don’t miss this place! Amazing burgers, but the pulled pork quesadilla es the best quesadilla I’ve ever tried!!!

Excellent quality food, freshly cooked. Service was great. Lacks curb appeal but it’s a gem in disguise. Lovely branded lanterns hanging everywhere. Lovely place. Would recommend.
