Came back after the renovation&mdash;place looks fresh but still has that old charm. New owners added some variety to the menu. Solid spot.

Trained baker here, so I&rsquo;m fussy. Their bread is solid, and the filled rolls&mdash;almost &euro;4&mdash;are stuffed enough to justify it. Doughnuts are a highlight too. One of the few spots that still gets it right.

Excellent food, friendly service. Personally I regret a bit that the typical German cosy interior they had before has been changed in a more &lsquo;trendy&rsquo; style - which at the end makes the ambience less warm, less personal. But that doesn&rsquo;t change anything to the quality of the cooking and they&rsquo;re good choice of wines. I recommend!

Been coming here for a while now. Food&#39;s been solid every time, that&#39;s why I keep going back. But the service, man. Staff always seem like they&#39;re somewhere else, or just rushing you through. Had a question about the menu last week, felt like I was bothering them. Shame, because the kitchen clearly knows what they&#39;re doing. Just wish the front of house matched that.
