No. 1 of Bars in Mandalay

The grilled fish was fresh, no fishy smell at all. Liked how they kept the seasoning simple so you could taste the ingredients. The building itself is quite nice too, old style but clean. Prices are fair for what you get. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The coffee was a bit steep, honestly. But sitting there with a decent glass of wine, watching the view... that made up for it. I’d say come for the scenery and a drink, just don’t go wild on the menu.

The Irrawaddy prawn curry was solid. Good spice level, prawns cooked right. The crispy chilli duck was decent too, though I'd say the curry was the better pick. Dining room's clean and modern, no complaints there. Service was quick enough for a weekday lunch. Fair price for what you get. Would come back if I'm in the area.

Great spot for a quick lunch. Got the set meal and honestly the portion was decent for the price. They even showed us around the village after, which was a nice bonus.

Decent food, fresh and well-seasoned. Sat outside, a bit of traffic fumes but fine for people-watching. Owner spoke good English, pretty helpful.

Stopped by for a quick bite. The view from up here is really something, especially as it gets dark. Got a drink and it was good, but man, the price tag was a bit of a shock. Food came out fast though, which I appreciated. Solid spot if you want a decent meal with a view and don't mind paying a little extra for it.
