Popped in for Sunday lunch. The roast beef was perfectly pink and the Yorkshire puddings were huge. Felt like a proper home-cooked meal.

I'm not the biggest fan of Spoons, but it's a solid choice. The spice bag was genuinely good, and the table service was impressively quick. Prices are always a plus. It's just a comfortable, no-fuss spot when you need it.

As a non-student, I was really pleased with my lunch here. The food was cooked well and looked lovely on the plate. The best part was the price—it felt like a proper meal without the usual cost. A very comfortable spot for a quiet, easy lunch.

The Sunday roast was spot on. The roast veg were cooked just right, and the cauliflower cheese side was so good I almost ordered another. A really solid meal.

A lovely little deli. The breakfast was tasty and came out quickly. What stood out for me was the interesting selection of drinks to go with the food – a nice touch you don't always find. Friendly spot.

Jo was our server, and she was just lovely. Really smiley and attentive without being overbearing. The food was spot on, as usual. It’s the kind of service that makes a simple lunch feel like a proper treat.

Been coming here for years, and what keeps me coming back is the consistency. Even on a quiet Monday, the food is just as good as on a busy Saturday. It’s that reliability I appreciate.

Solid spot for a post-work pint. The Abbot Ale was spot on and reasonably priced. Good range of real ales on tap too. Service was efficient, got my order sorted quickly.

Service was really smooth even with our big group. They even brought out a little birthday dessert, which was a nice touch. Everyone felt looked after.

Free parking right out front was a win. The big windows looking over the garden are a nice touch. Had the grilled sea bass – skin was perfectly crisp, fish itself was moist and flaky. Really enjoyed that. Could have used a touch more seasoning in the herb butter, but a solid dish.

Been coming here for years. Booked for a big group on a packed Saturday night. They handled it all without a fuss, service was still spot-on even when the place was heaving. Food's always reliable.

Been coming here for a while. The portions are reliably large - my partner and I can easily share a main and one side dish. It's a practical option for a straightforward meal.

The bass was fresh and cooked just right. Good portion for the price. Server was friendly and handled the whole floor by herself, so a bit of a wait. Fine for a quick lunch.

The new layout is impressive, but honestly, I'm just here for the food. The Sunday roast beef was cooked just right, still pink in the middle. The gravy was rich, not too salty. That's what I'll remember.

Found this spot tucked away through an arch on Bridge Street. The inside feels like stepping into another place entirely, really cosy and atmospheric.

The peppered mushrooms were the star for me - you can tell the chef really cares about the little things. Food was piping hot even with the app ordering, which is super handy.

The fish curry was so fresh and flavourful! Perfect for sharing with friends.

The pool table was a fun surprise, you don't see that much anymore. It was a nice way to pass a little time while waiting for our food. The whole place just felt really relaxed and easygoing.

The fish and chips were spot on. But honestly, what stood out was the bar area itself. It had this lovely, relaxed vibe with really comfortable stools. Just a nice place to unwind and enjoy a pint with your meal.

The onion bhajis and poppadoms here are honestly next level. Crispy, flavourful, just spot on. Service was really friendly too. A solid spot for a relaxed meal.

A nice place to bring the dog. I appreciate that they use fresh, local ingredients in their pub classics. The fish and chips were light and not greasy, which is a plus. The atmosphere is cozy and traditional, perfect for a relaxed chat.

Lovely spot. The owners genuinely care, offering suggestions when the menu felt a bit overwhelming. Portions were generous, which I appreciated. Just a really nice, unpretentious meal.

Nice spot for a business lunch. The historic building and rustic decor make for a pleasant, low-pressure environment. Service was efficient, got us in and out within the hour. Food was decent, nothing spectacular but did the job. Convenient location near the office.

Popped in for a quick lunch, the place was packed. Staff were really on it though, got my order sorted fast and checked in without being pushy. Made a busy visit feel easy.

Service was attentive for our large group, and the food came out at a good pace. Everyone seemed pretty happy with their meals.

Been coming here for years, and the consistency is what keeps me coming back. Ordered the birthday set for a big group last week, and everything came out hot and together - no small feat. Ash and the team just get it right, time after time.

The space itself is so lovely and authentic. Clean lines, warm lighting, and those little ceramic details on the tables. It just felt right, you know? Really sets a calm mood for the meal.

Owner's super nice. Chatted with us for a bit, made us feel right at home. That kind of personal touch is rare.
