Stumbled upon this place on Retford high street. The American Stack was fantastic, really hit the spot!

The breakfasts are really tasty here. Good value for money, feels like a reliable spot to start the day. I'll probably be back for the full English again soon.

The coffee here is always spot on, and the staff are so lovely. They even helped me carry my tray to the table when my hands were full. Really nice touch.

Huge scones and the cakes are spot on. You can smell everything being baked fresh, which is a nice touch.

The inside has a dedicated area for dogs, which is a nice touch. We sat outside though, the tables there are just right for a sunny afternoon.

Lemon cake was nice, staff were friendly. The modern decor in such an old building is a bit of a clash though.

Nice, clean spot with a comfy vibe. The board game selection is decent—spent a couple hours here with a friend over some beers. Could use a few more modern titles, but it did the job.

The barista here really knows their stuff. Suggested a different coffee than my usual, and it was spot on. Great way to start the day.

Been coming here for years. It's the consistency I appreciate - that veggie breakfast never disappoints, even on a busy Saturday morning. You'd never guess it's right by the bus station.

Lovely welcome here. The coffee was good, but the cake really stood out - you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The slice was moist and not overly sweet. A nice spot for a quiet treat.

Coffee's always strong and well-made, love the large sizes. The warmed cinnamon bun was a treat today. Just a solid spot for a proper caffeine hit.

The owner is so kind. My little one was getting into Pokémon and he just gave him a binder and a starter deck. Made his day, and mine. Such a lovely gesture.

Good spot for a quick lunch. Plenty of seating inside and out, so you can always grab a table.

Lovely Scandi decor, felt very calm and cozy. I spent a few hours working here and it was perfect for that. The light was nice, not too harsh. A really peaceful spot.

Had my birthday here with a group of friends. The team decorated our table with balloons and had a playlist going, which was such a nice touch. Really made the whole evening for us. The service was spot on.

Been coming here for years, and it's always solid. The menu's got enough variety to keep it interesting, and you can tell everything's made fresh. Just a reliable spot.

They let me charge my phone while I ate, which was a lifesaver. The breakfast was quick and really tasty. Nice spot to fuel up.

The vanilla bean custard donut was the highlight. The filling tasted genuinely fresh and rich, not artificial or overly sugary. I really appreciated that. The raspberry sugar on top added a nice touch without being too much. A solid choice for a mindful treat.

Been going here for years. It's always tidy and the staff are sound, they helped us get the scooter in without any fuss. A proper local spot that just gets on with it.

Lovely brunch, the sharing board was a treat. Staff were really friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience feel relaxed. A nice touch that they offered prosecco or beer with it.

The dark roast arabica is my go-to. It's got this nice, nutty flavour that's just right, not too bitter. The whole place has a really relaxed, industrial sort of vibe that makes it easy to just sit and enjoy it for a while.

The food was spot on, especially the lamb shank. Prices felt fair for the quality. Service did slow down when the place got packed, but the staff were clearly trying their best.

Been coming here for years. The staff are always friendly, they remember my usual order. It's that kind of consistent, reliable service that keeps me coming back to this little spot.

Stopped in after a morning walk. The vegan chocolate cake was a nice surprise to find here. The slice was a decent size, and it was quite moist. A comfortable spot to sit for a bit and rest your feet.

Been coming here for years, and the coffee's always spot on. The place could do with a bit of a spruce-up, feels a bit tired inside. But the team are still as cheerful as ever, which keeps me coming back.

The braised beef was so tender it just fell apart. The whole place has this really cosy, lived-in feel, like you're eating in someone's kitchen. Just what you want on a grey day.

Been coming here for years, and the hot baguettes are always spot on. Freshly made, never soggy. It’s that consistency that keeps me coming back, honestly.

Breakfast was spot on after the drive from Manchester. The staff were really friendly, and they had a decent selection of juices to kick things off. My only gripe is the coffee could be a bit stronger for my taste.
