Been coming here for years. The owners always remember you, makes it feel like a proper local spot. Nice that they’re dog-friendly too, makes it easy for a casual family stop.

Really liked the cozy, traditional pub feel here. The quirky decor adds to the charm. It's a very welcoming spot for a relaxed meal. My only note is that some of the booths are a bit snug, but the friendly service more than makes up for it.

Booked Deborah's painting workshop. Gill's homemade soup was the real highlight - warm, hearty, and just what you need on a creative afternoon. Deborah was chill, giving tips without hovering. Good vibes, left with a decent painting and a full belly.

New to the area. Found this spot. Got the chicken tikka masala takeaway. Solid. Good portion for the price. Will order again.

The flat white was the highlight. Smooth, strong, with a perfect microfoam that held its texture to the last sip. The beans had a nice chocolatey note. That's what I come for.

The tuna toastie is the reason I keep coming back. Perfect for a quick lunch - always hot and ready fast. Service is friendly, they remember my order. A solid spot for a reliable bite.

Been coming here for years. The free car park out back is a lifesaver, especially on busy weekends. Place is always spotless, which I appreciate. Just a reliable spot for a straightforward meal.

The cream tea for two was a good deal. It’s quite filling, and the price felt fair for what you get. A solid, cosy spot for a proper sit-down.

Still our favourite spot in Sidmouth. Had the lobster again this time – the meat was sweet and perfectly cooked, just like we remembered from last year. The vibe is as lovely as ever.

Popped in for a browse, and the mushroom section is incredible. So many fresh local varieties I'd never seen before. Ended up leaving with a little bottle of truffle oil, which was a nice treat.

Standard Spoons, but the rooftop garden is a real bonus. Sat up there for a couple of hours with a burger and a pint. It's a bit of a sun trap, really pleasant spot to unwind.

The teriyaki tofu was really good. I liked the salad too, especially the watermelon with that slightly spicy dressing. Their house chili oil is a nice touch, I ended up putting it on almost everything. A solid choice for a quick lunch.

Service was quick and friendly even when they were packed. Food arrived hot, which was nice.

Always spotless when I pop in. The whole place just feels clean and looked after, which makes a big difference when you're just sitting with a coffee.

Nice view of the river. Solid veggie options. Had the mushroom risotto, decent portion. A bit pricey for what it is, but okay.

Been here a few times. The fish was really fresh, and the pasta had a nice bite to it. It's always busy, so you'll need to book ahead.

This pub is a great local spot with friendly staff and a nice selection of beers. I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning with friends soon.

Booked for a birthday. The chocolate cheesecake was the star - rich, not too sweet, with a perfect crumbly base. Staff were really friendly, had a nice chat after. Good vibe in the room.

Popped in just before closing, and they still had a good selection of vegan options. Really appreciated that the ingredients felt fresh, even late in the day. The staff were lovely and offered a complimentary drink, which was a nice touch.

The chips were surprisingly fresh and crispy, a nice change from the usual soggy ones. Good portion size too.

Had a gathering in their function room. Staff were really helpful, let us bring our own decorations and set up how we wanted. Made organising things a lot easier. The space itself was clean and worked well for our group.

Proper pub vibe, lovely landlady and friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere with good tunes. The beer garden out back is a nice spot, especially on a sunny afternoon. Just what you want from a local.

Quick bite sorted. Ordered takeout, curry and biryani were spot on. Staff even checked the spice level without me asking. 👍

Been coming here for years. The calamari is always spot on - never rubbery, just right. That's the main reason I keep coming back.
