Popped in for a coffee and a slice of cake after a walk around Shaldon. The place has a really nice, relaxed vibe. The staff were friendly and quick, even though there was a bit of a queue.

Lunch with a big group and the kids. They got us all seated together, no problem even on a busy day. Menu had something for everyone. My fish and chips were spot on, crispy batter and proper chips. Kids cleared their plates too.

The coffee here is easily the best I've found in Torquay. Had it with a slice of their homemade carrot cake, which was still lovely and moist even though we popped in quite late. Staff were really nice about it.

Nice spot for a quick business lunch. Coffee was solid, staff were quick and pleasant. Prices are reasonable for the location. The atmosphere is calm, good for a working conversation.

Always enjoy a carvery, not my 1st here which is why we go back. The food is good, affordable and the grandkids love it. The service was very good , it was busy and the waiting staff coped well. Generally very good

Popped in for a pint after walking around Dunster Castle. The fish and chips were solid—crispy batter, decent portion. Just what you want in a village pub.

The flat white was spot on, and I love that they have matcha too. The space itself is really nice - high ceilings, lots of natural light, and comfy chairs you can sink into for a while.

Loved the quiet, cosy vibe here. The vegan cheese on their gluten-free sandwich was surprisingly good - not something you see often.

Coffee's top notch. Got a sandwich to go - fresh and tasty. Perfect for a quick bite by the sea. Service was quick, which is what I needed.

The ice cream portions are generous, which is nice. I appreciate that they use fresh fruit in their sorbets - you can really taste it. The view of the marina is lovely for a relaxing afternoon.

Stopped in for a late lunch. The view of the cathedral from the window seats is a real plus. Food was decent, service was prompt. A solid option if you're in the area and want a straightforward meal with a nice backdrop.

The food is always reliable. I really like their outdoor seating by the river on a nice day. It's just a very comfortable spot to enjoy a meal, the chairs are quite good for a long sit. Service is friendly and makes everything easy.

Super dog-friendly spot! Our pup was over the moon with their special doggy ice cream. 🐶

Owner's a lovely bloke, really makes you feel welcome. The milkshakes are the star - you can tell they use proper coffee, not that syrup stuff. Just a shame they don't do a decaf version for later in the day.

Iain was a great server, really on the ball. My burger and chips arrived super fast. Tasted good, no complaints. Perfect for a quick lunch break.

The vegan eggs benedict with the silken tofu was a real surprise. I was curious about the texture, and it actually worked quite well. A solid, creative dish.

The coffee here is pretty good, the barista clearly knows what they're doing. It's a comfortable place to sit and chat. The staff were friendly enough, though my latte did take a little while to arrive.

Stayed a few nights for work. The room was snug and comfortable, nice bedding. Breakfast was good, plenty of parking. The house red by the glass was surprisingly decent, a proper start to the day.

The staff were just so lovely. They noticed my water was low before I did, and checked in without being overbearing. That kind of attentive service is a real treat. Made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy.

Great beer garden out the back, really comes into its own on a sunny afternoon. Solid choice of local ales. Staff are a friendly bunch, which makes a difference. A proper local.

Booked for a birthday, and the steak fajitas sizzler was spot on. Arrived quickly too, which was a lifesaver.

Lovely, relaxed spot. The cream tea was nice, scones were generous and warm. The whole place just feels so calm, perfect for a quiet afternoon. The only thing was the clatter from the kitchen door every time it swung open, a bit jarring in that peaceful setting.

Owner's a really nice guy. Staff know their stuff too. Makes it a good spot for a quick lunch. Food comes out fast, which is what I need.

The brownies are so good, I had to get a box to take home. The staff were really friendly and helpful when I was picking out flavours. It's a lovely little spot for a treat.

The wine list had some nice options for a Saturday lunch. Food was beautifully cooked and presented, made for a relaxed afternoon.

A lovely spot near the beach. The festive decor was a nice touch. Food was solid, especially the savoury scones. My only gripe was the wine list felt a bit limited for the menu. Could have used a few more interesting reds by the glass.
