Busy spot in Kusatsu, great for a quick lunch. Had the Acorn Hamburg Steak. Patty was juicy, sauce had lots of veggies. Cheese on top was good. Got my food fast, which I needed.

Came for the weekday lunch set. It's a good deal, comes with a drink and the portion was just right for me. The kimchi on the side was really nice, had a good crunch to it. The space itself is bright and the wooden tables make it feel relaxed.

Stopped by for lunch, got the tempura set. You pick two sides, went with the matsutake chawanmushi. That was the highlight, really nice. Tempura was fresh and crispy. Simple, solid meal.

Been coming here for years. The counter seats are my favorite. They always take their time with the seasonal stuff, you can really see the care in each plate. That's why I keep coming back.

The little museum's collection of kokeshi dolls and old artifacts was a nice surprise. Spent a good 20 minutes just looking at the details on the dolls. A quiet spot before dinner.

Love the retro brick building! The high ceilings make it feel so spacious and relaxed. Perfect for a chill drink after a walk around the neighborhood.

Cozy little spot, feels like stepping back in time. The stew was exactly what I needed on a cold night - simple, warming, and didn't break the bank. Portion was generous too.

The pickled vegetables and sesame salad were a nice touch. Made the meal feel a bit more complete.

The tasting menu was a nice experience. The Niigata Wagyu was pretty good, and the grilled black throat fish was decent. The pacing felt a bit slow at one point, but overall it was fine.

A family-run spot that's been around for ages. The fish was so fresh, straight from the Sea of Japan.

The chilled chawanmushi was the highlight. The dashi jelly on top had a clean, savory taste that went perfectly with the smooth, cold egg custard underneath. A really interesting texture. The beef offal hotpot was just okay for me.

Staff were friendly and offered an English menu, which was helpful. The sake list was decent, had a nice dry one that went well with the grilled dishes. A welcoming spot after a long day.

Service was quick and friendly. The waiter took time to explain the menu, even checked on my allergy. Didn't feel rushed at all. 👍

The food took a while to arrive, but that's because they cook everything fresh. The wait was okay, the place has a really calm and relaxed vibe that makes it easy to just sit and chat.

Grilled fish was great. Tempura platter with local veggies was fresh. Quick lunch spot, got my order in under 10 minutes. Perfect for a fast bite.

The tatami seating was clean and comfy. I got the miso ramen. It was tasty, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. I was still hungry after.
