No. 5 of Local Restaurants in Kamakura

Seasonal nerikiri sweets. Crafted beautifully. Elegant, delicate flavor. Paired perfectly with the matcha. That subtle sweetness was just right. A quiet afternoon well spent.

If you're looking for a place to enjoy a Japanese breakfast, this restaurant offers a delightful set that feels like a traditional inn experience, all for a very reasonable price.

The tapas platter lets you try a bit of everything. I kept going back for the Spanish omelet. The potatoes inside were nice and chunky, gave it a really solid texture. That was the best part for me.

The char siu was so tender, really juicy. And that seasoned egg? It soaked up all the broth flavor. That little detail made the whole bowl for me.

Been coming here for years. The fried horse mackerel set is my go-to. Fish is always fresh, skin stays crispy. Comes with miso soup and rice refills. Simple and reliable.

Cozy counter with just a few seats. The husband-and-wife team running it are so warm. They explained each dish, which I really liked. The sake pairing suggestion for the grilled fish was spot-on, made the whole evening. A very personal experience.

A short walk from Kamakura Station. Tried the mackerel and tofu hamburger set. Both were solid, good portion for the price. The tofu patty was surprisingly firm and flavorful. Service was efficient.

Quick lunch spot for me. Grab the chu-toro from the take-out counter. It's on a silver plate, always fresh. Saves me a lot of time. A bit pricey for a quick bite, but hits the spot.

The father and son running the place are super friendly. They make you feel at home even if you don't speak the language.

The fish in the seafood bowl is incredibly fresh. Really appreciate the quality of the ingredients.

The staff told me to squeeze lemon on the curry rice. I wasn't sure, but they were right. The lemon cuts the richness perfectly. For the price, it's a simple trick that makes the whole dish better.

The misaki tuna ramen was interesting. I liked the salt-based soup, and adding the chili oil on the side was a nice touch. The vibe in there is pretty chill, good for a solo meal.

Cozy spot in a renovated old house. We had the grilled fish and it was cooked just right, not dry at all. The staff was friendly, though the service got a bit slow when they got busy. A nice place for a relaxed dinner.

Stopped by right before closing, they were still open! The grilled fish set was surprisingly filling, and my kids actually finished theirs. A nice late-night find.

The Ryoshi set meal is the one to get. Sashimi was fresh, tempura batter crisp. The simmered fish was tender, not too sweet. A solid choice for trying a bit of everything.

A solid Showa-era spot. The daily fish set is a good deal - had the boiled mackerel with rice. Staff pointed out the fresh options. Quick lunch, no frills.

Been coming here for years. The coffee ice cubes are still my favorite thing. Drink stays strong to the last sip, never watered down. Shows they care about the little stuff.

The dorayaki dough is firm but soft, just how I like it. I tried the walnut and caramel paste flavor. The filling could be a little sweeter for my taste, but it was still tasty. A comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quiet treat.

The tables are nicely spaced inside, so it feels comfortable. A bit pricey for the beer, but a good spot to relax.

The niboshi ramen was really good. The soup is rich and savory, not too salty. I didn't feel thirsty afterwards, which was nice. The staff were patient when I was figuring out the ticket machine.

Been coming here for years. It’s my go-to spot after wandering around Noge. Just a simple standing bar, but the vibe is always so relaxed. Never feels rushed. Perfect for a quiet chat over a couple of beers. That’s what keeps me coming back.

Loved the noodle bazaar concept at the Cup Noodles Museum! Getting to try half-sized bowls from different countries was such a fun idea for sharing with friends. The Indonesian fried noodles and Malaysian laksa were my picks - really tasty. A cool spot for a casual, global snack adventure.
