The curry's got great flavour and it's cheap. Quick bite sorted.

Came here for a pre-race dinner. The pasta was spot on, really well cooked. Service was quick and friendly, got us in and out without a fuss. Just what we needed.

Been coming here for years. The food is consistently delicious. That's really the only thing I care about.

Had a work do upstairs. Hall's a decent size, good for a dance floor. Bar was fine, drinks were okay. Got my pint quick, which is all you need really. Did the job.

Really enjoyed the friendly vibe here, and the free soup and tiramisu were a nice touch. My Napoli pizza was tasty, but I was a bit surprised it didn't come with any olives.

A must-visit spot in Whitley Bay. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the staff were so welcoming.

The cod and chips from the takeaway were lovely. The batter was so light and crisp, and the fish inside was really fresh. The slush puppy was a nice touch on a warm evening. Just a solid, tasty meal.

Breakfast was spot on. The eggs were cooked just right, and the bacon had a nice crisp. Staff were really helpful when I asked about gluten-free options. The little gift shop next door is a nice touch, picked up a couple of things.

This bar has a fantastic selection of craft beers, making it a must-visit for beer enthusiasts in Newcastle!

No. 4 of Local Restaurants in Newcastle upon Tyne

Loved the vibe here. The lighting was so soft and the decor felt really thoughtful, made it easy to just unwind over dinner. A proper cosy spot.

Great spot for a casual pint. The deep-fried prawns with chimichurri are a solid choice. Pub quiz nights get pretty lively.

The bubble tea was a nice surprise with the meal. I got the classic milk tea with pearls, and the texture was spot on. It's a fun addition you don't see everywhere.

A decent, no-frills curry spot in Newcastle. The food is pretty good and the prices are fine.

The Pina Colada was spot on, really generous pour too. Staff were quick and friendly. Sat outside, plenty of space which was nice. Just a solid spot for a drink.

Been coming here for years. It's a nice, tidy place for a family dinner. Staff are always friendly and quick. They still bring out those prawn crackers while you wait, which is a nice touch.

The cookie dough was the highlight for me. It's made fresh, you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The small scoop of ice cream on top was a nice touch. The Oreo milkshake was a bit too sweet for my usual taste, but the texture was lovely.

I highly recommend the wine pairings at this restaurant. The Christmas set menu was delightful, especially the duck Wellington, which was cooked to perfection.

The Sunday carvery was a proper treat! The roast beef was spot on, and the Yorkshire puddings were huge.

Took the team of 60 for our Christmas lunch. The four-course menu was solid, and the wine service was spot on—glasses were never empty. A bit of a wait between courses, but for a group that size, it was handled well. We're considering it again for next year.

Great spot for a catch-up! The beef rib was so juicy, and the pints were spot on. Really friendly vibe for a relaxed evening with mates.

The Lola's Lemonade was a nice, refreshing choice. They've got a huge drinks menu, which is cool. Spotted a solid selection of cocktails too. Could spend a while just working through that list.

The nitro stout was so smooth! Great selection of beers on tap, perfect for a casual catch-up with friends. We tried a few and everyone found something they liked. Could easily spend a whole evening here just chatting.

Popped in on a whim. The spicy lamb skewers were spot-on, really well seasoned. The vibe was buzzing, maybe a bit too loud for a proper chat, but that's fine. Solid spot for a casual bite.

Been coming here for years. Food’s always solid, never had a bad meal. Prices are fair. That’s it really.

The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. Dishes such as the fish and chips, mushroom risotto, and sticky toffee pudding are particular highlights, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail.

Service was spot on. Attentive but never pushy, even mentioned a kids-eat-free deal. The acoustics were a real plus, could actually hear my friend talk. My only note is the wine list felt a bit limited for the price point.

Spring onion pancakes were the star for me - crispy edges, fluffy inside. Dumplings were decent, but the pancakes really hit the spot. Service was friendly and quick. Solid lunch spot.

Been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly and quick, even when it's packed. You'll want to book ahead, especially on weekends. The food's reliable, which is what matters.

Booked ahead and glad we did – it was packed! The place is really clean and tidy, which made it easy to just relax and chat with my mates. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

Really enjoyed the Sunday lunch here. The roast chicken was so fresh and tender, you could tell it was quality. Portion was generous too. The side salad had crisp greens, a nice touch. A solid spot if you care about good ingredients.
