Fried chicken is solid. Owner stopped by for a quick chat, which was appreciated. Service was a bit slow, but there aren't many other choices nearby.

The smothered chicken was pretty good, and the pesto penne was decent. Our server Maddie was nice and had a good sense of humor. The burger looked fine, too. A solid meal overall.

The atmosphere is so relaxed, we stayed for a while after finishing our meal. It was nice not to feel rushed.

I'm a sucker for a good cinnamon roll, and theirs is solid. The cafe itself just feels cozy and lived-in, which I really like. It's the kind of spot where you can just relax for a bit.

Menu changes daily, which I dig. Tried the family-size turkey pie for Thanksgiving. It was solid, though a bit heavy on the crust for my taste. Good vibe.

Perfect stop after hiking Starved Rock. The blueberry pie ice cream is the real deal – you can taste the actual pie crust bits mixed in. Shop's adorable, lots of old-school candies too.

Emmy and Jasmine were so warm and friendly. They really made the evening.

Burgers have a solid char-grilled flavor. Cheese curds were crispy outside, gooey inside. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Solid spot for a quick bite.

The cold brew affogato is what I'll come back for. The coffee flavor was bold, not watered down at all. Those little dark chocolate chunks were a great surprise. Really hit the spot on a warm afternoon.

Been coming here for years, and the service is always on point. Staff remembers your name, knows the menu inside out, and they're quick without making you feel rushed. That consistency keeps me coming back.
