TheForkUserThis restaurant belongs to the Mercure Hotel. Usually I don't like hotel restaurants and tend to avoid them. But we did not know, so we booked here as it has good reviews. And it was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is decent and airy, withenough space and quiet for a pleasant dinner. the choice on the menue is not huge, but there is something for everybody, from starters to sweets, from meaty to veg, with kind staff and reasonable prices. all together a good place.
TheForkUserTable was reserved for 7.30pm for an 80th birthday meal and starter only arrived 50 minutes later. I had to ask for bread rather than have this provided given the long wait time. We were one of only 4 tables in the main restaurant but focus seemed to be on tables outside in the beer garden. My main meal was bland and my friends says theirs was just ok. Wine was good. The waitress came at 9.10pm (just 50 minutes after our main meal eventually arrived) and announced that the kitchen was already closed so we could not order dessert! Add to this the face that we were opposite stables and had to constantly swat lots of flies from crawling on our food. Such a disappointment for what was meant to be a special occasion
TheForkUserClean restaurant if a bit on the chilly side. Good service. Not a wide menu - on the day things advertised outside the restaurant were not available. What we had however was good.
TheForkUserWe had a very nice evening with very polite staff. All courses had a lot of detail and there were surprisingly many (11) courses. It was hence quite opulent. A real food journey. There was a clear Japanese flavor theme in most courses. Many dishes also featured fruity/ fermentation acidity, which felt a bit much at times. The cigar smoke flavored dessert was unique.
_TI***dcThe location is stylish and perfect for enjoying a meal outside. The pizzas are very tasty, although the prices are on the higher side. The service is polite, making it a pleasant dining experience overall.
_TI***h2The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience.
TheForkUserThe food was very good and nicely served. The service was excellent! The interior however was a tad too genuinely traditional German for our taste.
_TI***4bThe restaurant is located in a charming setting, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and made the experience even better.
TheForkUserSuper friendly staff. Very nice food and wines. The best restaurant in town! We would come back again.
TheForkUserGreat lunch! A nice place (a bit weird), not the cheapest (110€ for the two of us), but the best lunch we had in Metz. There is also a Business lunch for less, but we shared one Tuna Tartar (done in a very interesting way) as starter, then continued with one Octopus and one Saint-Pierre (both really excellent) and finished with sharing a Tiramisu (mine is better :-)). Three glasses of wine, one coffee, and the bill.
