The ninja chirashi was a fun surprise, with fresh pumpkin and lotus root.

Tried their persimmon leaf sushi. They said to wait a day, so I did. The flavor really came together overnight. The leaf scent was nice.

This place has been around since 1867, which is pretty cool. I sat on the terrace and the view was lovely. The raw kudzu noodles with brown sugar syrup were nice and slippery.

Convenient spot right by the station, good for a solo meal. Service was prompt. I asked for less spice on the curry and they handled it without fuss. The dish itself was decent, though a bit pricier than I expected for the portion.

Been coming here for years, and the dark roast is always spot on. Never bitter, just a really nice aroma. I usually end up getting a second cup.

My friend told me to try the breakfast deal. It was good. I liked the space between tables, felt private. The bread basket had a nice variety, kept it coming. Service was attentive, they noticed my coffee was low.

Dishes are around 700 yen, so it's a good budget option. The ventilation works, but you'll still smell like grilled meat afterwards.

Chef runs the whole show solo, which is impressive. My pasta was cooked just right, sauce had good depth. Cash only, so come prepared. Near the station, easy to find.

Chain restaurant, so you know what you're getting. Quality is consistent. Good for groups, but it's always busy and loud. Portions are decent for the price, which is why I keep coming back.

Been coming here for years. The fish is always fresh, cuts are just right. They know what they're doing. Good local Nara sake to go with it. That's what keeps me coming back.

Perfect for a quick, healthy lunch. The kudzu-ji rice set is solid. Thick, mild sauce, warm mochi. Gets you in and out fast.

Conveniently located near Uji Station, this restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience at reasonable prices.

The cold matcha soba was pretty good. Nice texture to the noodles, and the broth had a decent flavor. It's a refreshing choice for a warm day. The portion felt a bit small for the price, but I enjoyed it.

Super convenient spot, just a few minutes from the station. The handwritten specials board is a nice personal touch.

The persimmon leaf sushi was so good! The leaf smells amazing and the mackerel is tasty. Perfect for sharing with friends.

The retro decor and warm lighting are nice. You can watch them make the oden in the open kitchen, which gives a pleasant, old-fashioned feel. The food was pretty good, though my portion felt a bit small for the price.

The crab kaiseki lunch was a great deal. The tempura and gratin were really tasty, and the sudachi sake in a wine glass was a nice surprise. For the price, you get a lot of quality food.

The bread had a lovely, gentle sweetness. The matcha bean paste filling was well-balanced, not too sweet. Paired it with a light black tea, which really complemented the subtle flavors. A nice, quiet spot for an afternoon treat.
