Stopped by this old machiya for a beer. Their own brews are the highlight—tried a couple and they were solid. The guest taps were okay, but I'd stick with the house ones. Nice, cozy spot to unwind.

The charcoal-grilled pork bowl was my first time here. That smoky aroma from the grill really hits you, and the sauce wasn't too sweet. For 700 yen, it's a solid lunch.

The sashimi bar snack was a nice surprise. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the portion was generous for a snack. It paired perfectly with their local craft beer. A really thoughtful addition to the menu.

It was my first time having French food, and it was amazing, both in taste and appearance! The staff was also very kind, and thanks to that, it was a really fun girls' night out. Being close to the station is also a plus!

Quick lunch spot. Ordered the chicken katsu curry. Came out fast, maybe 5 minutes. Good for a quick bite. The place is clean and quiet, which is nice when you're in a hurry. Curry was decent, not too heavy. Got me in and out.

The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with both locals and tourists enjoying the standing bar area and engaging in pleasant conversations.

The wine list is impressive, but the small plates are quite pricey for what you get. I had three and still felt a bit peckish. Nice for a glass, but maybe not for a full meal.

Convenient spot near the shopping street. The stout was a nice surprise, a pleasant change from the usual lagers. Decent selection overall. Service was a bit slow, but it's fine for a casual drink.

As a whisky enthusiast, I was thrilled with the extensive selection available here. The owners are knowledgeable and eager to share their recommendations, making it a top choice for anyone visiting Nara.

The hosts were so kind, they even gave us a little list of their favorite spots in Kyoto. That personal touch really made the evening.

The collaboration afternoon tea with Kamikubo Tea Garden was impressive! The use of local ingredients and high-quality teas made each bite a treat. I highly recommend trying the roasted green tea.

Stopped in for lunch between the station and the old town. The location is super convenient for a quick bite. Had the daily pasta special—it was fresh and hit the spot. Just what I needed before heading back out.

Stumbled upon this quiet spot away from the main streets. Perfect for a peaceful break. The drink menu is huge—lots of sake and wine options to choose from. Service was really on point.

This hidden gem offers an elegant atmosphere with a unique design that makes you feel like you're in another world. The cocktails are delicious, especially the seasonal fruit options!
