Grabbed some matcha powder to bring home. The quality is really nice! They have a great variety of teas and accessories. Some things were a bit pricey compared to other shops, but I'm happy with my purchase.

The atmosphere at Yayoiken is pleasant, and the staff are friendly. I appreciate the affordable prices and the option for unlimited rice refills, which makes it a great value for a filling meal.

Been here for lunch a few times. The tandoori chicken special is always juicy, spices are just right. Nice and relaxed spot, even though it's right above the station.

The service at this shop is exceptional! The staff are friendly and accommodating, making the experience of purchasing traditional sweets even more enjoyable.

The portions are generous for the price. I got the grilled chicken plate, and it was a lot of food. They bring it to your table too, which is nice. Felt like a good deal.

This place has a nice, cozy feel. I grabbed a seat at the counter on the first floor—perfect for a quiet solo dinner. The grilled chicken skewers were pretty good, though a couple were a touch dry. A decent spot to unwind.

This restaurant is a hidden gem within the Nikko Hotel, featuring a Mediterranean fair with a fantastic selection of dishes. The paella was a highlight, and the dessert options were equally delightful.

Lunch buffet is solid value. Went during Golden Week, surprisingly quiet. Staff cleared plates promptly. The 4-hour free parking with meal is a major perk for visiting the park nearby.

Stopped by for lunch. Sat on the tatami, the garden view was so peaceful. The staff were really nice, felt like visiting a friend's place. Just a simple, quiet meal.

The brunch set is a decent option here. The chocolate pound cake was pretty good, moist and not too sweet. Paired with a drink and a croissant, it made for a fine, simple breakfast in Nara.

Tatsuta-age lunch plate was my pick. Chicken stayed juicy inside, nice crisp outside. Portion was generous for the price. The dry curry at the next table smelled incredible, might go back for that.

Found this place for a vegetarian lunch. The pasta was really good, and the staff was nice about customizing it. I had a glass of the house red with it, which was a simple but solid pairing. Made for a relaxed midday meal.

Staying near Nara station and found this place. The food was good, service friendly too. My only note is that some dishes leaned a bit salty for my taste. Still, it was a solid find for the area.

Tandoori chicken had a nice kick, and it's clearly made fresh. But the portion felt a bit small for the price. I was still a little hungry after finishing it.

Loved the calm vibe here. The exposed concrete walls give it a really stylish, peaceful feel. Perfect spot for a quiet break.

Good spot for a quick bite near Yamashita Station. Inside the hotel, so easy to find. Validated parking at the Lacto lot is a major plus for a fast lunch stop. Saves time.

A nice historic shop. Their selection of traditional Japanese sweets is pretty good, though some are a bit pricey.

The shuriken-shaped parfait was a fun touch. The texture of the matcha cream and red bean was just right, not too sweet. The throwing star activity in the back was a nice little extra.

Menu has solid variety, and they're open late. The multilingual ticket machines are a practical feature for ordering.

Staff were friendly and spoke some English. They explained the different coffee options and tasting notes, which was helpful for me as a visitor. Service was efficient, no pressure to rush.

The staff here really stood out. They were genuinely friendly and attentive, which you don't always expect at a chain. Made the whole lunch feel a bit more personal.
