Sat on the tatami mats in the quiet old-style room. The pies are baked fresh here. Had the apple and plum. Crust was really good, flaky and warm. Service was nice and quick.

The lunch set is a solid deal. Salad, soup, a few sides. I went for the hojicha chiffon cake to finish—it was so light and fluffy, not too sweet. Really hit the spot.

Stopped by for lunch. Sat on the tatami, the garden view was so peaceful. The staff were really nice, felt like visiting a friend's place. Just a simple, quiet meal.

The brunch set is a decent option here. The chocolate pound cake was pretty good, moist and not too sweet. Paired with a drink and a croissant, it made for a fine, simple breakfast in Nara.

Found this place for a vegetarian lunch. The pasta was really good, and the staff was nice about customizing it. I had a glass of the house red with it, which was a simple but solid pairing. Made for a relaxed midday meal.

The dorayaki here is absolutely the best I've ever had! The sweetness is just right, and the texture is perfect. I wish I had bought more!

Perfect for a quick, quiet break. The traditional tea room is so calming.

The persimmon smoothie was so good! Sweet, with fresh fruit on top. Perfect for a chill catch-up. Just a heads up, they ask everyone to order something if you sit inside. We ended up at the public benches nearby, which were actually nice.

Stopped by after visiting the shrine. The soft serve set with coffee was really nice. The ice cream was creamy and the little presentation was cute. A good little pick-me-up.

Loved the calm vibe here. The exposed concrete walls give it a really stylish, peaceful feel. Perfect spot for a quiet break.

Been coming here for years, and their sweet crepes are consistently spot-on. The texture is just right, not too heavy. It's the one thing I keep coming back for.

Even though my Japanese isn't great, the staff were so patient and helpful. They took the time to explain the specials and even brought out a little extra appetizer for us to try. Really made the meal.

Staff were friendly and spoke some English. They explained the different coffee options and tasting notes, which was helpful for me as a visitor. Service was efficient, no pressure to rush.

The strawberry parfait was a real looker. Loved how the fruit, cream, and ice cream came together without being overly sweet.

Stopped by for a sweet treat. The pancakes were fluffy and the coffee hit the spot. It's a cozy spot, though the seats are a bit low for me. Still, a nice place to unwind.

Pasta was solid, a nice change from ramen. Service was quick, place is clean and spacious. Cash only, which was a bit inconvenient.

Cozy little place, part cafe part souvenir shop. The matcha latte was nice, but I was really drawn to the high-grade matcha they had on display. The powder looked so vibrant, almost velvety. Felt like a quiet find.

Solid single-origin selection. Had the Kenya medium roast via French press. Clean, fruity notes. Good for a slow morning.

The croissant was the standout. Flaky, buttery layers that shattered perfectly. Not too sweet, just a pure, simple pastry done right. The banana bread was moist and had real banana flavor, not just sugar. Both were fresh.

The tables with phone chargers are a lifesaver! My phone was almost dead and it was so nice to just plug it in while I ate. The staff were really sweet about it too.

The cream croquette lunch was tasty. Their house coffee was a nice pairing, and the whole thing was under ¥1500.

The coffee here has a lovely fragrance. I went for a lighter roast today, and it was just right—smooth, not bitter at all. Really appreciate that they offer different roast options.

The service was exceptional, with staff offering timely refills of coffee and water. It's the kind of attentive service you'd expect from a hotel lounge.

The pizza dog was a fun surprise, and the ogura toast was solid. But the real star was the house-made ginger ale - it paired so well with the savory notes. All that for under $16 AUD, including a free toast. Hard to beat.

I always look for their seasonal specials. The pistachio latte, hot version, had a nice nutty flavor. You could tell they used fresh pistachio paste. The limited-time drinks here are usually a good bet.
