Found this little spot wandering around the Grassmarket. The scrambled eggs were so creamy and perfect, honestly the best I've had in ages. The café allongé was a proper strong kick too. Just a really nice, relaxed vibe for a late breakfast.

Been coming here for years. The chocolate desserts are consistently spot on, so I always stick with those.

The Hawaiian burger was exceptional! I would happily eat here every day if I could. Highly recommend this place for its great food and service.

Came here with a few mates for a catch-up. The place is so cosy and dimly lit, really nice for just chatting for ages. We had the scallops - they were spot on! A bit on the pricier side, but the vibe was just right for our group.

The £20 lunch set for two is a steal. Portions were generous, and the quality was spot on for the price. We left pleasantly full without breaking the bank.

Been coming here for years. Their flat whites are consistently good, and the carrot cake is always spot-on. Nice to see they've kept the gluten-free options around too.

The vibe is so chilled. Came for the vegan menu and ended up loving the chargrilled seitan with polenta chips. Just a really nice, easy spot to unwind.

The afternoon tea was so generous! The scones were still warm and the cakes were clearly homemade. Could barely finish it all.

Nice spot for a business lunch. Sat outside for a quick coffee meeting. The service was prompt, which was key. Inside looked comfortable too, but the terrace worked well for the short window I had.

Lovely little spot, feels like a cosy kitchen. The chicken sandwich was spot on - juicy, the bread toasted just right. My oat milk flat white was smooth, not bitter at all. You can tell they think about the little things.

Really liked the cozy vibe here. The mushroom risotto was spot on, creamy but not too heavy. Alex was lovely, made us feel right at home. Good spot for a casual dinner.

The fresh ingredients really stood out. The salad greens were crisp, and the grilled salmon was perfectly cooked. A lovely spot for a relaxed meal.

Lovely casual spot. The food was spot on, and they had a nice selection of wines by the glass to go with it.

Been coming here for breakfast for ages. The view's lovely and the staff are nice, but honestly, it's the consistency that keeps me coming back. You always know exactly what you're getting for the price.

The hot chocolate was the real deal. Thick, not too sweet, with a proper dark chocolate flavour that coats the spoon. It’s what I come for. The homemade brownie on the side was decent, a bit dense for my taste, but the chocolate intensity matched the drink well.

The owners are lovely, really friendly. Stopped by for a glass of wine in the afternoon and felt so welcome we came back for dinner. Their house red was a surprisingly good match with the pasta we had later. Just a nice, genuine spot.

Love the vibe in this old building, perfect for a catch-up with friends. It's got a cosy, lived-in feel that makes you want to linger. Gets super busy though – definitely book a table!

Fish and chips spot on. The fish was perfect, crispy batter, not greasy at all. Mashed peas tasted fresh, like from a garden. Good portion.

Brasserie Prince offers a luxurious dining experience with impeccable service. The festive lunch we had was unforgettable, especially the turkey main course which was absolutely faultless.

Got here at 9am, table for five in under five minutes. The Scottish breakfast was spot on. Sausages were proper. Coffee kept coming.

Loved the vibe here for a quiet breakfast. The Belgian waffles with poached eggs and bacon were spot on. The pastry display is a real highlight though, so many tempting choices like the Basque cheesecake.

Love how tucked away this place is. The classic menu hits the spot, and the drinks are solid. It’s got that proper local feel, not overrun with visitors. Just a nice, relaxed vibe for a quiet pint.

The lamb shank was the standout. Slow-cooked for hours, the meat fell off the bone effortlessly. Rich, deep gravy with a hint of rosemary. A proper, hearty dish. A bit pricey, but you can taste the effort.

This was my grandsons 2nd birthday meal but Toby Carvery said they did not have my booking via the fork even after showing my confirmation and we had to wait 20 mins for a table. However that being said we had a lovely evening and staff were great

Came for a quiet lunch. The atmosphere was so soft and relaxed, just what I needed. Staff were lovely without being intrusive. Food was nice, though the main took a little while. Would go back for that calm feeling.

Andrew was so nice and attentive. Really made the whole meal feel relaxed. Service like that is a rare find these days.

Service was on point, even on a busy Friday night. Our server was friendly and kept us updated on the kitchen’s pace, which we appreciated. The food arrived at a decent time. They had a nice wine list, and the staff helped us pick a bottle that went well with our steaks.

The room was huge and spotless, with a lovely big bath and a separate shower. The bed was super comfy, and the pillows were just right.

Our tea for two was excellent my wife and myself really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this to anyone it was an excellent day out for ourselves. The service and food was excellent.

Love that they're so welcoming to dogs. The outdoor seating area was perfect for my pup to relax while we ate. Made our visit so much easier.
