The beef rendang was the star. Slow-cooked for hours, the meat just fell apart. Rich coconut and spice paste had soaked right through. Could have used a bit more heat for my taste, but the depth of flavour was spot on. That's what I came for.

Nice local spot. The view is great, but the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for the price.

Jacob and Natalie were so nice to our big group. Jacob at the bar remembered what we liked to drink, and Natalie checked on us without being pushy. Just felt really looked after.

The view from the upstairs tables is lovely, and the chips were fresh and hot. A nice spot for a simple meal.

Portions are huge here, which is a big plus for me. Ordered the grilled chicken platter and could barely finish it. Quality of the meat was solid, no complaints. You definitely get what you pay for.

Been coming here for years, and the pizza's still the best around. Perfect for grabbing a slice with mates.

Firecracker prawns and yasai katsu curry are consistently good. The new corn side was decent, if a little messy to eat.

Tried the fish and chips here for the first time. The portion was huge for the price, especially with the mushy peas. Really hit the spot.

Been coming here for years. The food's always hot when it arrives, straight from the kitchen you can see. That's the main thing for me, never lets you down.

The tandoori mix box had really fresh, well-seasoned meats. Good portion for sharing.

First time ordering from them. The curry was really good, flavourful and rich. Just wish it had a bit more of a kick to it, that's all. Will definitely get it again.

Breakfast here was solid. Good portions, cooked well. The view from the seating area is a real plus, makes for a relaxed start to the day. Service was prompt.

Decent value for money. The pensioner's special is a good example – portion size is generous for the price. You get a solid meal without overspending.

Staff were very helpful with our toddler. They kept him entertained while we ordered, which made the whole lunch much smoother. Service was efficient and they didn't rush us. A practical spot for a family meal.

Lovely spot to stop after a hike. The old train carriage is charming, and the little heritage displays around it are a nice touch. A novel way to spend an afternoon. The scones were decent, though the jam was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Family-run place, really cosy. Had the carbonara and it was just right, not too heavy. Perfect for a quiet dinner. Service was friendly but a bit slow, maybe because it was a Friday. Still, a nice spot.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. The food was really good, especially the roast. The space feels bright and airy, lots of natural light which was lovely.

Been coming here for years, and the lunchtime queue is just part of the deal. It's always there, but it's never a long wait. The food's always exactly what I expect – solid and consistent. That's why I keep coming back.

Nice spot for a quick lunch. Got the chicken sandwich, came out fast. Tasted fresh, decent portion. Place is clean and bright, which is a plus. Good for a quick bite.

Nice spot for a quick drink after work. The Pina Colada was solid, not too sweet. Music was at a good level, didn't have to shout. Service was prompt.

Decent Indian spot, handy for the bus and train. It's my go-to when I can't be bothered to cook.

Nice old-school pub, very clean. Their real ale selection is solid. Had a pint of the local bitter, which paired nicely with the ploughman's lunch. Prices are fair for what you get. Could do with a few more craft options on tap, but no real complaints.

Came for a midweek lunch. The prawn risotto was really good, packed with flavour. Portion was decent for the price, left feeling satisfied without being overly stuffed. Service was quick and friendly.

The set meal for four easily fed our group of five. All dishes were well-prepared and tasty. Appreciated their flexibility with menu adjustments - made the evening run smoothly. Good option for a business dinner near the office.
