Lovely little spot on the hill. We came for an early dinner and the service was so friendly and relaxed. The mushrooms in wine and garlic were a nice portion. Just a comfortable, easy meal.

As You Like It is a beautiful venue with stunning decor. I attended a birthday party there, and while the atmosphere was lovely, the service could use some improvement. Overall, it's a great place for events.

The set menu for two was really tasty and felt like a good deal. I liked the wine list they had. The space itself is quite cosy, with these warm wooden tables and soft lighting - just a nice, relaxed spot to eat.

Been here a few times now. The chicken liver pate is the reason I keep coming back - smooth, rich, just right. Menu's got some interesting bits you don't see everywhere. Service is solid, no fuss.

The duck pasta was the standout for me - rich sauce, tender meat. Emily was super helpful guiding us through the menu, especially with the halal options. A really solid spot for pasta lovers.

The bottomless brunch is a solid deal. Food was top-notch for brunch, honestly. Service kept the drinks flowing, which is the main thing for me. The sparkling wine they pour is a decent choice for the price point.

The Sunday roast is fantastic, probably the best in Newcastle. The quality of the meat is consistently top-notch.

One of the best halal dine in, if you are in Newcastle.with almost 70 plus items, value for money. The staff is very well mannered. The food quality is great.I will recommend it if you are around.

The menu's huge, which is nice, but honestly the best bit was how clearly they mark everything for allergies. Felt so much more relaxed just glancing at it.

The cheong fun with crispy dough was a standout. Really good when it's fresh and hot. The salted egg buns were decent too. A solid choice for a quick bite.

Been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly and quick, even when it's packed. You'll want to book ahead, especially on weekends. The food's reliable, which is what matters.

Booked ahead and glad we did – it was packed! The place is really clean and tidy, which made it easy to just relax and chat with my mates. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

The food is pretty good here, especially the pasta dishes. Prices felt fair for what you get, which is decent quality. Portions are fine, not huge but enough. A solid choice for a casual meal.

The service here is solid. Staff kept our drinks topped up without being overbearing. The waiter suggested the lamb dish, which was a good call. It's the kind of attentive but relaxed service that keeps me coming back.

The downstairs area gets pretty loud when it's busy, so it's tough to have a conversation. I'd definitely go back, but probably on a quieter weeknight.

Family-run place. You can feel the care in the food. Had the lamb curry, rich and tender. A solid, reliable spot for proper Indian.

Portions are huge! I was honestly surprised by how much food came out. Left feeling stuffed and my wallet didn't cry. 😅

The tagliatelle al salmone was lovely, packed with big pieces of salmon. The pasta itself was just a touch soft for my liking, though.

The upstairs area is so spacious and clean, and the view is lovely. Really comfortable for a relaxed meal.

Been coming here for years. Always start with the mango bhel and vada pav. That madras curry is the one for me - just the right amount of heat, never disappoints. Finish with the gulab jamun and ice cream, every single time.

Decent portions, especially for the price. The food's solid - not fancy, but you get what you pay for. Good spot for a no-fuss meal.

Came here with the family on Christmas Day. The menu had some interesting new dishes, and I really appreciated the focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The roasted root vegetables were a standout - so vibrant and full of flavour. A lovely, relaxed meal.

Sea bass and mussels were spot on. Tiramisu was a nice finish. Quick lunch, in and out in 45 mins. Perfect for a workday bite.

The orange espresso martini was a standout. Really enjoyed it with the steak, the bitterness cut through the richness nicely. Cocktail menu had some other interesting choices too, went for a second round.

A quiet evening, so service was a bit relaxed. The fondue platter was really good for sharing. Decent choice of cocktails and mocktails too.

Booked for Sunday lunch, got a table in the bar. The turkey roast was spot on, really moist. Extra roast potatoes were a must, crispy outside and fluffy inside. Good portion sizes, left feeling nicely full. Parking was easy.

Been here a few times. It's a nice, relaxed spot for a catch-up with mates. Gets quite lively, but that background chatter actually makes it feel cosier. Not a bad place at all.

Quick bite at the station. The vibe is just right for a tired traveler—unhurried, simple. Had the chicken curry, decent portion. It's not fancy, but it hits the spot when you're just passing through.

The steak was grilled just right, juicy inside with a crispy charred crust. The spicy beef risotto had a great Mexican kick to it.

The staff were brilliant with our big group, really helpful and even gave us tips on where to go for a drink later. Made the whole evening so much easier.
