The walk from Niigata Station was super easy. The space inside feels really open and airy, with lots of natural light from the big windows. Just a nice, relaxed spot to sit for a while.

The view is incredible, but the food is what really matters. The sashimi was fresh, the tempura was perfectly crispy. Price is high, but the quality is there.

The Hegi soba noodles are lovely. They have a smooth, firm texture that's quite unique. The dipping sauce complements them perfectly. I was very comfortable at my table, which made the whole meal so relaxing.

The fillet steak was so tender, honestly. Ate it by the window, the evening light was really nice. The abalone was good too, but that steak was the main thing for me.

The wild vegetable tempura was a standout. Light, crispy, and so fresh. A bit pricey, but you can taste the quality.

Good vegetarian buffet near the aquarium. The tofu coconut curry stood out. Decent value for the 2-hour seating.

The sausages are the reason I keep coming back. Perfectly cooked, with a nice snap to the casing and a juicy, flavorful filling. The pasta is a solid side, better than you'd expect at a beer spot.

Booked online to avoid the winter crowd. The yuzu soup hotpot with mochi pork was the highlight. Good local spot.

The hegi soba with duck broth was my pick. The noodles had this interesting, slippery texture from the seaweed. Broth was deep and savory. Just felt a bit pricey for the portion.
