Although the price of the sake was a bit high, the restaurant's management handled the situation well, showing their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Stopped in on a Tuesday around 7 PM. Service was prompt and efficient, no issues with just ordering a couple of small plates. Place was quiet, maybe a bit too quiet. Good for a quick, no-fuss meal.

Just tried their classic Niigata-style ramen. The soup is light and clear, but the flavor is deep. Really liked the thin, curly noodles with it. Simple and good.

Been coming here for years. The walnut maki is still my favorite. It’s got a nice crunch and the flavor is just right. The menu is huge, which is great, but sometimes I spend too long deciding! A solid, reliable spot.

Came here with friends after class. The tonkotsu broth with dried sardine is so rich and the noodles are thick and chewy. The regular size is huge, we all struggled to finish. Perfect for a casual hangout!

The cold dip ramen is the thing here. The noodles have a firm, chewy bite that's just right. The broth is chilled and savory. You do have to wait a bit for it, maybe 20 minutes. But it's all about that noodle texture.

The tororo soba was a very generous portion, and the broth came in a nice carafe. The seats were comfortable and the service was quiet and efficient, which I really appreciated. Made for a very relaxed meal.

The tempura here is really good. Light and crispy, not oily at all. I especially liked the sweet potato and shrimp. The dining area is comfortable, with good spacing between tables. It was a relaxing meal.

The dishes at Kappo Watanabe are a true delight, showcasing the exquisite flavors of Niigata ingredients. Each meal is a unique experience, and the presentation is both elaborate and enjoyable.

The restaurant offers an exquisite lunch course with unique dishes like beef cheek braised in red wine and pork shoulder braised in white wine, both of which were absolutely delightful.

Been coming here for years, and their lunch set is always solid. The twice-cooked pork hits the spot every time. Love that they still do free refills on rice and miso soup. It's just a reliable, filling meal.

The steamed chicken is a must-try. The broth is so flavorful, and letting the raw cabbage soak it all up is the best part. It's a different, really satisfying taste compared to the fried version.
