The interior design is so lovely, really cozy and inviting. I could just sit here for hours with a book and a coffee.

The owner was so kind! They were about to close, but she still managed to whip up something off-menu for me. The portion was really generous for the price. A nice surprise.

The handmade noodles were fantastic, and the broth was exceptional. Best soba I've had in ages.

Came by right after they opened on Sunday. The soba's aroma was lovely, and the soup was really enjoyable. For the price, the flavor punches above its weight.

The tonkatsu uses local Nikko Himitsu pork. The batter was crisp, and the frying oil had a light, slightly sweet note. It's a well-executed dish.

The soba was a bit thicker than I expected, but I actually liked that texture. The grated mushroom on the side had this really nice, earthy flavor.

The veggie galette was huge and so tasty! They were super nice about swapping out the salmon for extra avocado for me. Perfect for a chill catch-up with friends - we lingered for ages and didn't feel rushed at all.

The black sesame latte was so creamy and not too sweet. The scone was warm and crumbly, perfect with it. I really appreciated how comfortable the armchairs were, made it easy to just relax and enjoy. A lovely, quiet spot for a treat.

The two ladies running this Ghibli-style cafe are so sweet. Everything is homemade, which explains the wait.

The soba here is really fresh and firm, I loved the texture. The duck soup was rich and went so well with the noodles. A nice find!

Been coming here for years. The food always tastes like they care about it, which is why I keep returning.

The curry bread is a nice change — not fried, so it feels a bit lighter. Flavor’s good, though I wish the filling was a touch warmer. Still, I’d order it again.

Stopped here between Rinnoji and Toshogu. The free sample was a nice touch, helped me pick. Got the matcha soft serve. The texture was spot on, creamy but not too heavy. A good little pick-me-up during the temple walk.

The omurice with demi-glace is great, but the real star is the pickled daikon on the side. So crunchy and good.

The set lunch was just right after a morning of temple visits. I really appreciated the fresh, seasonal vegetables in the dishes. The tatami seating was a nice touch, though a bit tricky with little ones.

Cash only, but that's fine. The set menu was a solid deal. The fish was fresh, cooked just right. Portions were decent for the price. A straightforward, satisfying meal.

The three-cheese croque monsieur was good, crispy toast and lots of cheese. But for the price, I expected a bit more on the plate. It's fine for a light lunch if you're not too hungry.
