Quiet Monday evening but visiting for my husband&rsquo;s birthday and host was super welcoming, giving us a free glass of ( good) champagne to start. Fantastic freshly cooked food. You won&rsquo;t stumble across this little restaurant, but make a point of seeking it out - you won&rsquo;t be disappointed.

Food was surprisingly good. Had the grilled octopus and a glass of local red. Sat outside, nice breeze. A bit pricey for the portion, but the flavors were spot on. Would go back just for that octopus.

The New York Bagel was a real treat. I really appreciated the freshness of the ingredients, you could tell the cream cheese was high quality. A bit on the pricier side, but for that level of freshness, I didn&#39;t mind. The spot across from Maison Carr&eacute;e is lovely.

Loved the vibe in this little crepe spot tucked away on a side street. The owners are so warm, and the staff moved quickly even when it was packed. My crepe was absolutely loaded with filling. Just a really nice, unpretentious place.

Came with the kids, owner was nice and made them smaller plates. Food was tasty. But honestly, the portions are a bit small for the price, especially the mains. You might need to order extra.

A decent dinner. The atmosphere was pretty nice, quiet enough to have a conversation. The lamb shank was cooked well, tender and fell off the bone. The only thing is, it took a while for the main course to arrive.

We walked in for lunch, no booking. The chef&#39;s two Michelin stars are evident in the cooking. I had the duck, and the sommelier suggested a Pinot Noir that was spot on. A bit of a wait for the main, but the pairing made it worthwhile.

Been coming here for years, and the chicken tagine with preserved lemon is always the reason. It&#39;s just so tender, like a home-cooked meal. Portions are still generous, which I appreciate. That dish never lets me down.

The patio is a nice spot for people-watching. Service was friendly and they managed well despite the language barrier. A relaxed place for a casual meal.

other than the unbearable heat, everything was lovely about our meal-- the food, the service and the champagne. Could not have been better unless they can figure out how to install a/c outside but that is not in their control. Would definitely return!

We had a really lovely dinner here on Easter Sunday. The food was exquisite, especially the dessert.   My wife and daughter had oysters and I had a lovely cheesy penne. For the main, I shared a grilled rib steak with my daughter while my wife had the pork.  For dessert, the madeleines were the softest, most fluffiest I had ever had. Nothing beats a favourite food cooked very very well. The service was exceptional as was the choices of wine.  Certainly was a high point of our visit to Nimes.

We were part of a group tour staying in West Nimes at a hotel with predefined dinners. I didn&#39;t want lasagna (!), I wanted French food.  So we walked over to this little place for dinner.  My daughter ordered a cheeseburger.  While they said she couldn&#39;t specify how it was cooked (e.g. medium rare) it was a perfect medium, pink in the middle.  My spouse ordered the duck.  It was the best duck I&#39;ve ever tasted, not greasy yet tender and juicy.  And while the skin was not crispy because of the sauce, it was not fatty.  I ordered the grilled beef.  I have no idea what cut of meat it was (undefinable shape), but it was tender enough.  I really liked their Charmelcia sauce which is on all their meats.  It went well with my beef and the duck. The salad was the same we seemed to get everywhere - just lettuce, with a very mild dressing.  I didn&#39;t translate that the fries are bottomless; the portion they gave us was plenty for the three of us.  For dessert, I ordered the Ananas chantilly (ou fraises).  I didn&#39;t bother to translate what it was; I thought it was bananas or strawberries (even though I know the word is &quot;bananes&quot;).  She said they didn&#39;t have strawberries (not in season in late June?) so I had the pineapple.  I would have preferred bananes, but it was refreshing.  Our server was pleasant and efficient.  She didn&#39;t speak much English (which I enjoyed) but with my limited French and hand gestures, we communicated just fine.  My family was glad I found this place, to have an authentic French dinner.  And you can&#39;t beat the &quot;Formule Unique&quot; fixed meal price of $15.90 Euros!

The owners and staff are so warm and attentive, you can tell they&#39;re loved by the locals. The cozy, energetic vibe made it the perfect spot to catch up with friends. We felt right at home chatting for hours.

Nice spot for a coffee. The flat white was smooth, not bitter. Fresh orange juice too. Prices are fair for the area. The decor is pleasant, simple but stylish. A good place to relax for a bit.

The paella special was a huge portion and really tasty. Good value for money. I just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, the chairs were a bit hard for a longer meal.

The owner was so nice, he checked on us a few times and even remembered my name. It felt really personal, not like a chain restaurant at all.

Justine helped me incredibly well. Thankfully she spoke English, as my French is abominable. The food was delicious, the drinks were interesting, and the experience was sublime. An excellent way to spend an evening.

Loved the hidden courtyard, such a peaceful escape. The greens in my salad were incredibly fresh and crisp, you could really taste the quality. A lovely spot for a light, healthy lunch.
