Ollie was so on top of things tonight. Knew exactly when to check in and gave a great tip on the wine pairing for the lamb. Made the whole thing feel really relaxed.

The Sunday roast was pretty good. The meat was tender, and the potatoes had a nice crisp to them. It’s a decent spot for a relaxed weekend lunch.

Came for a Sunday lunch. The space is really nice, bright and airy with big windows. My little one was getting a bit fussy, and a server brought over a balloon for her. It was a sweet gesture that helped a lot.

Decent spot for a cold one. Sat outside, the shade was nice on a warm afternoon. Drinks were chilled and hit the spot. Nothing fancy, but does the job.

Stumbled in for a pint. Ended up staying for dinner. The steak and ale pie was proper hearty, just what you need on a damp evening. The room upstairs felt a bit dated, but the whole place has a nice, lived-in feel.

The grilled octopus is the only thing I ever order here. It's got a proper char, tender inside, not rubbery at all. Served with a lemony herb oil that cuts through perfectly. Honestly, I don't even look at the rest of the menu.

The T-bone was cooked right, and the prices are fair for the town centre. Good to see a pub doing things in-house.

Popped in for a late lunch. The staff were so kind, even added a little birthday touch to the dessert plate, which was a nice surprise. The steak was cooked just right, and their house red was a solid, robust pairing for it. Portions are generous, you won't leave hungry.

Breakfast is always solid here, and the price is right. Got the full English last Saturday - everything cooked just right, no greasy fry-up vibes. Service kept up even with the place packed.

Been coming here for years. The meat is always from the local butcher, you can really taste the difference in the full breakfast.

The garden area was lovely, and the ingredients in the canapés tasted so fresh. A really nice setting for a celebration.

Steve was our server, and he really knew his stuff. Helped me pick a fantastic red to go with the steak—spot on. Made the whole evening.

Absolutely amazing experience. From drinks to canapies and main course , the taste was amazing would definitely come here again.

Popped in for lunch and got the steak ciabatta from the specials board. The steak was cooked just right, really tender. The fries were good too, well-seasoned. Hit the spot.

The staff were so organised with our big group, everything arrived at once and still hot. The private room was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years. The kids' corner is the real draw for us - it's always set up and clean. Means my wife and I can actually chat over a meal for once. Staff are friendly, but honestly, it's that little play area that keeps us coming back.

We booked a stay here and it was really nice. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The bed was super comfy, which made for a very restful night. A very pleasant experience.

Nice old pub, lots of character. Came for a quiet pint after work, atmosphere was relaxed. Good for a catch-up. The ale was well-kept, just what I needed. Prices are fair for the area.

Lovely, clean pub. The staff were so friendly! I tried the home-cooked beef pie and it was just right - proper flaky pastry and a really rich filling. Came out quickly too.

Booked for Sunday lunch, place was packed. Service got a bit slow when they were full, but expected that. Food came out fine in the end.

Great for a quick bite with a group. Food came out fast and hot, staff handled split bills easily.

My wife and I went for dinner on a Monday night. The pub wasn't too busy which was lovely. We were quickly seated and attended to. Drinks were ok but the startes and sharing plates were great! Well seasoned and presented. Highly recommend the chicken karaage. Our mains were generously sized but a bit lacking in flavour. We had pork belly (saved by the tasty sauce) and sea bass (needed salt). All in all a lovely meal and we would visit again if in the area.

A lovely old pub, but what really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients in my salad. The greens were crisp and the chicken tasted so clean and well-prepared. It felt like a proper, healthy meal in a pub setting. A nice change from the usual.

Came for the live music night and the vibe was spot on for a catch-up with friends. The garden was a nice touch too.

Popped in for a quick bite. The staff were really friendly even though it was packed. Had the fish and chips, it was solid. Beer choice is a bit limited though.

The courtyard tables are so lovely on a sunny afternoon. We ordered a bunch of their small plates to share—the grilled octopus was a standout, perfectly tender with a nice char. A really nice spot for a relaxed catch-up.

The pepper soup here is the real deal, packed with heat and flavour. The jollof rice had that perfect smoky depth you don't often find. Portions are huge, I couldn't finish mine. A solid spot for proper Afro-Caribbean cooking.

Staff were so lovely and attentive, really made us feel welcome. Food was great, but the best part was how relaxed it felt - perfect for catching up with friends without feeling rushed.

Good choice of beers, including real ales and continental ones. Prices are fair.

Jack and Mo at the bar are the best. They remember your name and your drink. Makes it feel like your local.
