The Black Forest cake was spot on — real cherry brandy, proper thick cream. Sat outside on the terrace with it, sunny day made it even better.

The interior is what got me — old-fashioned, warm, lots of little details to look at. We had the spaghetti au gratin and sausage salad, both solid. Prices are fair for what you get. Just remember to bring cash, they don't take cards. Would've liked a bit more space between tables, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

The Baden-style stew was really hearty, lots of flavor in there. They even brought a little amuse-bouche first, which I didn't expect. Portion was big, honestly almost too much for me. Price seemed fair for what you get. I'd say it's a solid spot if you're hungry and want something comforting.

Stopped by for dinner and honestly the owner’s wine suggestion paired perfectly with my pasta. Nice to see someone who actually knows their list. They even brought out a cheese plate for the kid without us asking. Place was a bit loud but cozy. Would come back for the house red alone.

The schnitzel with fries is still my go-to here. Fish was more like small nuggets, but everything's fried and tasty. Good spot to sit down and eat.

The room balcony had a nice view over the vineyard, that was a good start. Breakfast on the terrace was simple but fresh, the eggs tasted like they were from nearby. Olga at the front desk helped us figure out the local bus schedule, which was a relief. Only thing, the coffee could've been stronger. But for a quiet stay, it worked.

Seafood risotto was solid, nicely cooked. Interior's rustic and comfortable for a quick lunch. Service friendly, no complaints.

The beef liver with fried potatoes really hit the spot. Liver was cooked just right, not dry at all. Käsespätzle was solid too, though I wish there was a bit more cheese on top. Service was quick, which I appreciated. Good spot if you're in Schönwald and want something hearty.

We stumbled in without a reservation and got a nice table outside. The duck was the highlight — crispy skin, tender meat. The staff brought a little smoothie while we waited for our order, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, though it took a while for the main course to arrive. Would come back for that duck.

Solid Swabian food in a beautiful old building. Had the schnitzel, came out fast and hot. Place was packed but service kept up fine. Good spot for a quick lunch if you're in the area.

Stopped by without a reservation and got a nice table. The German-Croatian fusion is interesting - my schnitzel was fresh, not greasy at all. Waitress knew the menu well. Cozy spot, though it got a bit loud later.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. Traditional two-floor place, proper Black Forest vibe. Food was solid, service efficient. Prices fair for the area. No complaints, though nothing blew me away either. Fine if you're nearby and want something straightforward.

The bo bun was fantastic, truly the best I've tried. The staff were so kind and attentive, which made the whole meal feel very relaxed. A lovely spot in that quiet square.

Right on the main market, nice for people-watching. We sat outside, tried a few things—all fresh and tasty. Menu's pretty big too.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the schnitzel, portion was solid. Taste is good, nothing fancy but hits the spot. Service gets a bit slow when it's packed, had to wait a while for the bill. Fine if you're not in a rush.

Enjoyed the food very french but not to rich. Staff were lovely they also speak english which is a bonus. Nice wine list and not overly expensive. Woul recommend

The owners are really friendly and made me feel at ease right away. Sat near the window, it was nice and calm. A solid local place for Asian food that I keep coming back to.

Late-night burger and nuggets with a group of 10. Food came fast, and the burger wasn't as greasy as usual.

Best Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala ever tasted.. thanks for the lovely service also.

Loved the terrace. Just a quiet corner with a breeze, perfect for that late afternoon glass of wine. The waiter suggested a local rosé, and it was exactly what I wanted. A really nice spot to just be.

We had very good "tartes flambées", together with a "pinot gris", for a very reasonable price. We had to wait for a rather long time to be served at the beginning and this point could be improved with more waiters since they are really doing what they can!

Been coming here for years. The movie posters and old projectors are a nice touch, makes it feel different from the usual spots. Food's always solid.

The staff really know their stuff here. I noticed how they handled a busy table next to us—calm, efficient, and they remembered all the drink orders. It made a difference. The food was good, but that service stood out.

Cozy little spot in a lovely town. The traditional food is hearty and hits the spot.
