The sandwiches were solid and I loved that they label allergens clearly. Coffee was meh, but the pastries saved the visit. 🥪

Tucked away in a quiet street, maybe 10-15 min from the center. Food was solid, service really on point. Place got packed fast though, so better book ahead.

The tarte flambée was fresh, and that penne Bolognese with arugula in the sauce? Probably the best I've had. Simple touch, but it worked.

The appetizer open bar with meat carved right off the skewer was the highlight for me. Got a bit loud inside, but the food made up for it. Would come back for that alone.

Lovely little tapas place in Kiel. The bacon-wrapped dates were tasty and the prawns were fresh. Small plates let you try a few things without overdoing it. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Decent Asian spot in Kiel. I had the curry and it was pretty good, flavors were there. Service was friendly, no complaints. Place was quiet enough for a weekday dinner. Not mind-blowing, but it's become my regular go-to when I crave this kind of food. Fair price for what you get.

The chicken burger here really stood out. Patty was juicy, clearly fresh — not one of those frozen things. Fries were solid too, crispy enough. Place was busy but service kept up fine. Only thing, prices are a bit steep for a casual burger spot. Still, I'd take this over the usual fast food chains any day.

The gyros here is seriously good - juicy and tender, never dry. Best I've had in Germany in ages. Plus the price is totally fair for what you get. 😊

Came here for the view from upstairs—watched the ships roll by while sipping a glass of wine. That alone was worth it. They’ve got bottles to take home too, prices are decent. Service was friendly, no complaints. Just a solid spot to kill an hour or two.

Been coming here for a while now, and the pasta stays consistently good. Tried the wild garlic pasta with pesto and crayfish off the specials board last time – fresh, plenty of it, and the flavors worked. Staff were friendly too, didn't rush us. Price is fair for what you get. Still my go-to spot for pasta in the area.

Came for dinner, the fish solyanka was the standout for me. Cod was solid too, nicely cooked. Plates looked great, you can tell they put effort into the presentation. Staff were friendly enough, place had a chill vibe. We booked ahead, probably smart since it filled up quick.

The schnitzel was really good—freshly made and the mushroom sauce on the side was a nice touch. Fried potatoes were simple but tasty. Service was friendly, and I didn’t have to wait long for anything. Just the kind of place where you can sit back and enjoy your meal without overthinking it.

The fish sandwich here is legit. Fresh bun, decent piece of fish, not drowning in sauce. You can watch the big container ships roll past while you eat. That's about it. Portion was fine for the price. I'd grab it again if I'm in the area.

The venison carpaccio was the standout — really tender and well-seasoned. Braised ox cheeks were solid too. Lemon sorbet cleaned things up nicely. Service friendly, though the place got a bit loud later.

The rump steak was properly cooked, and the tiramisu tasted like they actually make it in-house. Red wine went well with the meal. Service stays friendly and personal, even when some customers are a bit rude. That's rare around here. Place gets busy, but it's worth the wait.

Had the Labskaus yesterday. Honestly pretty solid - beets and herring worked well together, mashed potatoes were creamy. Portion was generous, left full. Place has that rustic Hamburg vibe, wooden tables, no fuss. Only thing: service took a while to get the bill. But the food made up for it.

Stopped by for a quick bite while wandering around Kiel’s center. Sandwich was fresh, coffee did the job. Nothing fancy but totally fine for a casual lunch with a friend. Place was a bit busy around noon, so we grabbed a table outside. Good enough if you’re nearby and hungry 😊

The weekly special was solid — lamb stew, properly seasoned, not greasy. Small menu but everything looked fresh. Portion was decent for the price.

Stopped by for a quick lunch near the old harbor. Looks like a simple snack bar from outside, but the food surprised me. Had the catch of the day — fresh and well seasoned. Owner’s a bit of a character, but service was quick. Nice rustic nautical vibe inside.

The outside looks like a typical rustic spot, but inside it’s got this unexpected elegance. Brought the kids and the dog, no problem at all. Staff was friendly enough. I had a glass of their house red with the schnitzel, decent pairing for the price. Place has a nice relaxed vibe, though it did get a bit loud later in the evening.

The chocolate lava cake was the move after dinner. Rich, warm, and the center flowed just right. I paired it with a glass of their house red, which cut through the sweetness nicely. Not a huge portion, but enough. Service was fine, though I did wait a bit for the bill. Solid spot for a casual dessert stop.

The rump steak and crispy potatoes were done right. Asked for a small change and they handled it no problem. Place has that rustic feel, nothing fancy. Solid spot.
