The set menu was a great way to try a bit of everything. Portions were small, but I liked that—didn't feel overwhelmed. Everything tasted fresh and looked really pretty on the plate.

The local wine selection here is really thoughtful. I had a glass with the grilled sea bass, and the pairing was just right. It let the freshness of the fish shine through.

The lobster Thermidor was my pick. Really rich sauce, and the meat was spot-on. The garlic butter one was good too, but a bit heavy for me. Both were cooked just right though.

Having been searching for proper pub food for a while I’ve finally found it. A warm atmosphere and deliciously presented food that tastes better than the photo can make it look. A lovely pint of Guinness and onion rings that warmed my heart. If you’re ever near here I suggest you call in. Top Marks from me.. 👌

The fish and chips here are generous. The batter on the cod is properly crispy and light. The real star is the chips cooked in beef dripping – they have a savoury depth you don't get with oil. A solid portion for the price.

Nice casual spot with a beach cafe vibe. Dog-friendly, which is a plus. They had a DJ and electric darts on the night we went, good for a relaxed evening out.

Popped in after seeing the reviews. The place was buzzing, which I actually liked. Food was solid, service was quick. Just a good, straightforward meal.

Loved how friendly the staff were! The chef came over to chat and suggest what to order, which was a really nice touch. It made our little catch-up feel extra special. 😊

The pigeon breast starter was a real surprise - so tender and the sauce had this lovely sweet note. My fillet steak was spot on too. Just a really solid meal.

Just a very pleasant low key place in a fabulous location with a great small plates offering and stupendously well cooked food. The small plates are not so small so be vcareful not to over order. Very friendly waitress.

Great spot for a quick bite. Tables are right on the water, which is cool. Sat there with a beer watching the boats. A bit pricey for what it is, but the view makes up for it. Solid for a relaxed afternoon.

Came here with a few mates for a casual catch-up. The vibe is so cosy, exactly what you want for a long chat. We ended up staying for hours just talking, felt like we were in someone's living room. The staff were lovely and didn't rush us at all, which was perfect.

The sole was so fresh, you could taste the sea! 🐟 It's the kind of place where you can tell they get their fish that morning. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends.

Emma and her husband run the place. You can feel the care they put in. The gluten-free carrot cake was really good. Perfect for a quick, sweet bite on a busy day.

Came with a group, the sausages were spot on. Pies had a nice flaky crust. Staff were friendly, made us feel welcome. Good spot for a relaxed meal.

Upgraded to the surf and turf from the mixed grill. Massive portion, honestly couldn't finish it all. The steak was spot on, and the prawns were juicy. Flavour was really good. Just a solid, satisfying meal.

Finally got round to trying this place. The food was spot on, really tasty. The whole vibe was just so friendly and relaxed, which was lovely.

Popped in after a coastal walk. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was really welcoming. Just what you need for a quiet drink. The seats were comfy too, which was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years, and the oysters are always spot on. Fresh, chilled just right. That consistency keeps me coming back.

Edie's got me eating again after a rough patch. That confit chicken tortellini was spot on, rich but not heavy. The calves liver was cooked just right, and the Seville orange cheesecake to finish... lovely. Felt like a proper meal for the first time in ages.

The bartender remembered my name from last time. He makes a mean old fashioned, just the right amount of bitters. A solid spot for a quiet drink.

Been back three times since moving to Cornwall. The food’s consistently good – the Sunday roast is spot on. Staff are lovely with our dogs, always have a treat ready. Makes a difference when you’re out with the pups.

The Buddha bowl here is huge. Packed with roasted sweet potato, quinoa, chickpeas, and a really good tahini dressing. Had to get a takeaway box for half of it. Just a solid, filling vegan meal.

A lovely little pub off the beaten track. The Sunday roast was spot on, really tasty and came out nice and quickly. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which always makes for a relaxed meal. A very comfortable spot.

Been going here for years, and their pasty is still the best around. The pastry just melts, and the filling's always spot on. That's why I keep coming back.

Nice, modern spot. The fish and chips are fresh, but it’s the cleanliness that really stands out. Felt very professional, not your typical old-school chippy.

Lovely view over Fistral Beach from the outside tables. It's a small place, so you'll want to book ahead. The breeze was perfect.

Gluten-free options are clearly marked, and the staff knew exactly what I could have. As someone who has to be careful, that’s a huge relief. The pasta dish I ordered was actually really good, not just an afterthought. Felt safe dining here.

Great spot to catch up with friends after a train journey. Right opposite the station, so super easy to meet up. The sharing platters are decent for the price, perfect for a casual group hangout. Could be a bit louder inside when it's busy, but that just adds to the vibe.

I had the afternoon tea at the Red Lion, and it was absolutely delightful! The sandwiches were delicious, and the cake selection was outstanding.
