Great food, simple but perfectly prepared in the tradition of la cucina italiana. Large portions, excellent and very affordable wines, and delightful service. Worth a trip down the hill from the old town. Very convenient to the Arena Santa Giuliana.

We had by far the best food during our entire trip through Umbria in this lovely little place inside the Centro Storico of Perugia! The owner was very friendly and attentive to all guests and although he spoke close to no English we could still manage well communicating. Since it was truffle season we had tagliatelle al tartufo as a main course and as a starter scrambled egg on bread with truffels and fish carpaccio with capers and green pepper in a caper-lemon sauce - absolutely outstanding! Not to forget the delightful and super tasty deserts (panna cotta with preserved orange and 'unicorno de nocciola' with a light cream filling and some refreshing tangy candied ginger. Fantastic! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! On top there is a little terrace to sit outside -albeit righ next to the road, but it is one-way with relatively light traffic which didnmt deter from the overall excellent meal at all. Enjoy!

A discovery! The owner is very kind and available to explain the dishes. Excellent fresh lake fish and amazing first courses. The homemade dishes are exceptional, the portions are more than adequate and the quality/price ratio is very balanced. Must try if you are in Perugia!!!

The waiter doesn't speak English, and the menu was entirely in Italian. Luckily, I can speak basic Italian and also used Google Translate. The first dishes we had were excellent (2 with Burrata cheese and the Cupa Cupa salad), but they were huge, and then we couldn't enjoy the second dishes. The hamburger was without a bun.The grilled chicken was excellent. We liked the grilled veal less. They don't serve tea.Take into account that the restaurant is on a steep hill. There are 2 parking spaces on the hill, otherwise you need to park on the street and climb uphill.Good toilets.

Welcoming staff who definitely care about what they do and about how guests feel. Great quality food with all local produce, home made bread. They take food and wine seriously, the wine list is full of interesting stuff and prices very reasonable when checked against the internet.Ignore reviews that mention a long wait, what we experienced were times you’d expect for something to be made fresh, nothing more. Recommend the green salad which didn’t appear on the menu but was absolutely delicious - with fennel and various leaves.Restaurant has a great spirit - our nicest evening in Umbria so far.

Fantastic food, the pasta dish was a personal highlight, as well as my partner's main course. The local wine accompanied the food perfectly. Also the waitress serving us was outstanding, being extremely attentive, affable and professional. We are booked in again for Tuesday, it is that good.

The dinner was quite good. I had the salmon tartare with Venus rice and avocado which was excellent. The grilled sea bass was excellent. The whole fish was grilled but they filleted it for you after upon request. My husband ordered the fixed menu. His Risotto was heavy and a large portion was served. There was one mussel and two scallops on the top. Very rich a large serving for his primo. He ordered the pork and potatoes which he enjoyed a great deal. Then he ended his meal with tirimisu, which was delicious. The service was lacking. It took us quite a while to get seated even though we had reservations and the dining room was pretty empty. There was no waiter out in the dining room for quite some time and one of the hotel employees came from the lobby bar to assist. One waiter was on for the whole evening service. Once the girl from the lobby helped, the server could catch up and he was quite nice. Definitely worth the trip!

Since I was staying at the Sangallo Palace Hotel I decided to try their restaurant. It was a good choice! My main course, fillet of pork in a pepper sauce, was very good, as were the accompanying grilled vegetables. Service was pleasant and efficient.
