The pear almond scone was genuinely the standout—still warm, buttery, not too sweet. I grabbed a seat by the window and just took my time with it. Staff were friendly enough without hovering. Place has a nice quiet buzz to it. Wouldn't mind going back to try the other cakes, honestly.

Been coming here for years and the curry still hits the spot. Staff are always sound, never had a bad experience. The place itself is nothing fancy but it's comfortable enough to sit and eat without rushing. Solid choice if you're in Carlow and craving Chinese.

The Reeses tub is a solid pick, honestly. Price was fair for what you get, no complaints there. Only thing that bugged me was the seating area—bit of a mess when we stopped by. Not enough to put me off, but I'd probably grab it to go next time.

Nice spot for a quiet pint, small tables and good craic. Service was grand, just a bit slow at the table.

Been coming here for a while now and the food never slips. Flavours are always fresh, prices fair for what you get. Nothing fancy, but honestly that's part of the charm. Just solid, dependable grub when you can't be bothered cooking. Good spot to keep in the back pocket.

Paninis were proper tasty and the portions are huge for the price. Good spot if you're hungry and want something quick. 🥪

Lovely spot with plenty of space, no one rushing you out. Staff were chatty and helpful. Cake selection looked great, though I only tried the carrot cake — decent but nothing wild.

Stumbled in without expecting much. Food was genuinely good and came fast. Quiet inside but loads of takeaway orders going out.

Stopped in for a hot chocolate and a scone — the drink was honestly the best part, rich and not too sweet. Scone came out warm, pretty fresh. Staff were on it, no waiting around. Place has that snug kinda feel, easy to sit for a while. Only thing, it’s a bit tight for space. Fine for a quick stop though.

The burgers are proper — simple menu but they nail it. Falafel was a nice surprise too. Good spot for a pint and a feed.

Came here for the Sunday roast and honestly the beef was unreal—so tender and that gravy was proper flavour. Place is massive too, different little rooms depending on your vibe. There’s even a smoking area and a big screen out the back for sports. Fries were spot on, crispy and plenty of them. Nice that they had non-alcoholic options as well, since I was driving.

Went to Aroi last week for a quick dinner. Got the Lamb Massaman and it was proper tasty. Rich, creamy, real depth of flavour. Reminded me of the food I had in Thailand years back. Nasi Goreng looked good too, my mate had it. Place was busy enough but we got a table easy. Not the cheapest but the portions are decent. I'd go back.

Cheese garlic chips were spot on, and the service didn't keep us waiting. Bit pricey, but a solid spot for a pint and a bite.

Stopped in for a pizza last week and honestly it’s the best I’ve had in Carlow. The dough was light, just the right amount of chew. Service was spot on too, friendly without hovering. Only thing is it’s a bit easy to spend more than you planned, but the quality’s there. Already thinking about when I can go back.

Been here a few times now and the food never disappoints. Lovely spot for lunch, nice and relaxed. Service was friendly too, didn't feel rushed at all.

Tried the tasting menu last week. Portions were decent and the lamb course really stood out—cooked properly, nice and pink. Wine pairing matched well, especially with the fish dish. Service was friendly enough, though we did wait a bit between courses. Place was buzzing on a Thursday night. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Solid feed. Tiger on draught was a nice touch. Got a free starter off the chef too. Bit pricey for what it is, but the food's good. Wouldn't say no to going back.

The outdoor pods are a nice touch, especially with the play area right there for the kids. Had the breakfast fry and it was proper tasty. Staff were sound and friendly. Good spot for a family feed if you're in the area.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Curries were solid, egg fried rice done right. Staff left me alone until I needed them, which I appreciate. Place is comfortable enough for a solo meal. No complaints, decent spot if you're in the area and want something reliable.

The food came out fast and was tasty — loved that it's so close to the castle. Tables were a bit sticky though, which was a small letdown.

The French toast was solid—not too sweet, just right. I got the eggs benedict with spinach too, that was the better pick honestly. Owner chatted with us a bit, gave a straight recommendation, no fuss. Portion size decent for the price, I didn't leave hungry. Wouldn't say it's a must-go, but if you're nearby it does the job.

Stumbled in here without expecting much, and honestly the coffee and cakes were lovely. The strawberry theme is a nice touch, not overdone or anything. Decor feels different from the usual chain spots, which I appreciated. Only thing is seating was a bit snug, but I managed fine. Wouldn't mind stopping by again if I'm in the area.

The duck spring rolls were proper chunky and packed with flavour. Green curry was class too, loved being able to pick the spice level. Loads of chicken and prawns in it.

Decent spot for a casual meal. Singapore noodles and massaman curry were pretty good, portions fair for the price. Nothing fancy but it does the job.

Stopped by for a quick bite and the Nduja pizza really hit the spot. Good amount of spice, crust was nice and chewy. The Caprese was fresh too, tomatoes actually tasted like something. Staff were friendly enough, didn't have to wait long for a table. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something reliable.
