The lighting in there is something else—soft and warm, makes you want to stay longer. Pizza was solid, crust had that nice chew. Pasta was good too, nothing fancy but comforting. Place had a relaxed hum to it, not too loud. Just a dependable little spot for a weeknight bite. Maybe slightly pricey for what it is, but the atmosphere kinda makes up for it.

Truffle pasta was legit the best I've had in JHB. Wine list had some solid picks too. Place was a bit quiet for a Friday night but honestly didn't mind.

The chef came out to say hi when we walked in. Braised beef was properly tender, cooked the way it should be. You can tell they put real effort into the food here.

Went for the set menu and it was pretty good. The steak came out exactly as asked, and the sauce was decent. Place was a bit noisy by the time we left, but that's on us for booking late. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

Decent Greek spot. Souvlaki and calamari were solid, dips good too. Meze portions run small though, baklava was almost a joke. Service a bit hit or miss but the room was comfortable.

Food was decent but honestly the portions are what sold me. Bigger than I expected for the price. Service took a while though, we sat there staring at empty plates for ages.

The ribeye was spot on — cooked exactly how I asked. Honestly one of the better steaks I've had in Joburg. The vibe is classy but not stiff, which I appreciated. Drinks menu has decent variety too. Only thing is it’s a bit pricey, but for the quality, I get it.

Had a relaxed lunch here last week. Greek salad was fresh, dips had good seasoning. Pita was light too. Service didn't rush us, just sat watching the square. Solid spot.

Food was solid and the service stayed on point. Just check the bill before paying — ours had a small error. Background music was a nice touch though.

The burger was properly juicy, not dry at all. Wings had a good kick to them. Cocktail was fine, nothing fancy but did the job. Place gets busy around 7pm, took a while to get our order in. Still, solid enough for a casual dinner when you can't be bothered to cook.

The steak came out a bit more done than I asked for, and the béarnaise was pretty bland. Service was fine, though. I’ve had better meals here before, so this visit felt a little off. Still a decent spot, just not at its best that day.

Solid spot for a quick bite when I'm shopping. Staff were friendly and got me in and out fast even though it was packed. Food did the job, nothing fancy but consistent.

Came here with a friend for a casual catch-up and honestly the meat was the highlight—cooked just right. Bill for two with drinks hit R900 though, so not exactly a cheap night out. The vibe inside felt fancier than the area made me expect. Parking was a bit of a mission since it’s shared with another place, but we managed. Would come back if I’m feeling like treating myself 😅

Namhla took care of us properly—friendly without hovering. Food came quick, but honestly the portion felt a bit small for what we paid. Fine for a casual lunch, just don't come starving.

The caramel pancakes were the standout. Sweet without being too heavy, and the chocolate sundae on the side worked well. One of the better desserts I've had lately.

The burgers were solid and the sweet potato fries hit the spot. Chill vibe inside, nothing fancy.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the chicken burger and it came out fast, which is exactly what I needed. Place was clean, staff were friendly enough. Food did the job, nothing fancy but solid for a casual bite. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area and short on time.

Food came out hot and the place was tidy. Gets pretty busy on weekends though, so be ready to wait a bit. Good spot for a casual catch-up with friends 👍

The ambiance of this place is perfect for a night out, with a relaxed and comfortable setting. The staff is welcoming, and the food presentation is beautiful, making it a great choice for special occasions.

Restaurant in Johannesburg Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch

Fresh pizza and decent home-brewed beer. Service was quick, no fuss. Scenery's nice but it did get a bit busy later on. Solid stop if you're in the area.

Came here with a few friends to catch the game and honestly the view is the main reason I’d go back. Comfy seats, big screens, good vibe for a casual hangout. Food was decent but the bill added up quicker than expected, especially if you skip the app deals. Fine for a once-in-a-while thing though 😅

The quality of the food is commendable, and despite some service issues, the management seems open to feedback and improvement.

Service was decent — our waitress knew the menu well and pointed us to a good dish. Felt a bit more personal than usual. Place was busy but we didn’t wait too long. Fine for a casual night out.

Great local spot. The all-day breakfast hits the spot and the Tuesday quiz night is proper fun. Cocktails were decent too.

Stopped by for a quick bite and ended up really liking the vibe — lots of random decor to look at while you wait. The rectangular pizzas were the standout for me, decent price too. Drinks came strong, not watered down at all. Only thing: they add a 10% tip automatically, which felt a bit much for just two of us.

The eggs benedict at this place were done right. Hollandaise had that proper tang, yolk still runny when I cut in. Fresh orange juice actually tasted squeezed, not from a carton. That's basically all I need from a breakfast spot. Maybe slightly pricey for what it is, but the food delivered.
