This place has potential, but they need to improve their order management to enhance the overall dining experience.

No. 6 of Local Restaurants in Johannesburg

Service was quick, got my food in no time. Had the grilled fish with rice, decent portion for the price. Fish was cooked well, flaky inside, crispy skin. Nothing fancy but hit the spot after a long day. Place was busy but they kept things moving. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Decent burgers — proper meat patties, not the usual frozen stuff. Service was attentive without hovering. Music was good early on, though they turn it down later for hotel guests. Fine if you're after a relaxed meal rather than a lively night out.

The staff here are really welcoming, always make sure you're looked after without hovering. I popped in on a quiet afternoon and the guy behind the bar remembered my usual order, which was a nice touch. The rotating taps are a good idea too, keeps things fresh. Just wish the seating near the window was a bit comfier, but that's a small thing.

Went for lunch during the week. Got the crispy fried chicken and BBQ pork fried rice noodles. Portions are decent for the price, especially the lunchbox deal. Chicken was properly crispy, not soggy. Noodles had good wok flavour. Place gets busy around 12:30 so come a bit earlier if you want a seat. Solid neighbourhood spot, nothing fancy but does the job.

Veg biryani was solid. Big portion, could easily share. Lots of flavour, not dry at all. Place has been done up recently, looks pretty modern inside. Counter staff were friendly enough. Decent spot if you're in the area.

Grilled hake was solid. Lamb too. Jollof rice hit the spot. Good intro to African food if you're new to it.

Finally a spot that gets Neapolitan pizza right 🍕 The crust had that perfect chew and the sauce was spot on. Definitely bringing my friends here next time.
