Tasty food, good veggie selection. The sandwiches are generous and filling. Decent value for money. Service was a bit slow at lunch, but the food made up for it.

The coffee was strong, which I liked. But I really came for the peanut butter slice. You can tell it's homemade, not too sweet. The texture was just right. A nice treat with my morning coffee.

Been coming here for years, and the apple tart's always spot on. Crispy pastry, loads of filling, and they never overdo the spices.

The Scottish Breakfast was spot on. The black pudding had a nice crisp to it, and the tattie scone was perfect for mopping up the yolk. A solid start to the day. Will definitely be back for that.

Decent student discount. The sourdough toast was good, but the muffin portion felt a bit small for the price.

If I lived in Old Town, I'd be a regular. Just had the Scottish Full Breakfast with a cappuccino. Spot on. Staff were quick and friendly, no fuss. Exactly what you want in the morning.

Came here for an early breakfast. The scrambled eggs were really good, nice and fluffy on decent toast. Coffee was fine too. It's a quiet, snug little spot. A solid choice for a simple morning meal.

Just a simple, honest cafe. The breakfast was spot on - felt like a proper home-cooked meal, left me full but not stuffed. Staff were nice, prices fair. Exactly what I needed.

A nice spot for families. The kids' platter was a big hit with ours, and the staff were friendly and efficient even on a busy Saturday. It's good to find a place that's so welcoming to dogs, too.

The lemon drizzle cake is the star here. Moist, sharp icing, not too sweet. Honestly, I'd go back just for that slice. The rest of the menu looks solid, but that cake is the one.

Been coming here for years for a quiet breakfast. The coffee's always spot on, a proper strong brew. That's what keeps me coming back. The space is nice and calm, good for reading the paper.

Been coming here for years, and the coffee is always spot on. That's what keeps me coming back. The space is nice and the art is cool, but honestly, I'm just here for a reliably good flat white. It's my go-to spot when I need to just sit and think for a bit.

Popped in for a Nutella hot chocolate. It was nice, but I did notice it was quite sweet. I appreciate when places use good quality ingredients, so I'd be curious to know what kind of chocolate they use. The staff were very friendly.

The croissants here are a solid choice for a quick breakfast. They're flaky and not overly sweet, which I appreciate. The coffee is okay, but I really wish they offered a non-dairy milk option. It's a simple, affordable spot.

Stopped by this cafe in the garden for a coffee after visiting the castle. The vibe is definitely chill, which I liked. But the coffee itself was just okay. For the price they're charging, I was expecting something a bit better. It's fine for the location, but not a standout.

Student discount is a nice touch, makes it a go-to for a quick coffee with friends. Prices are definitely better than other spots nearby. We grabbed lattes and just hung out for a bit. Good for a casual catch-up.

The soy latte was really good, creamy and not too sweet. Sat there for a while just enjoying it with that view of the castle. The staff were nice, but honestly, I just remember the coffee.

The smoked salmon and cream cheese was delicious, and I really appreciated how fresh the ingredients tasted. A lovely spot for a light lunch.

Great spot for a quick bite. Right on Princes Street, easy to find. Had the fish and chips. Decent portion, crispy batter. Good for refuelling mid-sightseeing.

The sourdough baguettes here are just incredible. That perfect crackle of the crust, the soft, tangy inside... I could eat it all day. Honestly, it's the main reason I keep coming back.

Been coming here for years, and I always grab a couple of their vegan haggis packs to go. It’s the one thing I know will be just right for a quick, proper dinner at home.

Huge portions. Honestly, the quality for the price is just right. Came for brunch, left absolutely stuffed. Won't need lunch.

Always packed, so you know it's good. Their breakfast plates are solid and won't break the bank.

Loved the Turkish eggs and portobello smash here, both were so fresh and flavourful. The menu's got a good range, which is great when you're with a group and someone's gluten-free. Made picking a spot for brunch easy!

Love how they treat dogs here! The staff gave my pup water and a treat without me even asking. Such a nice touch when you're out with friends and the dog tags along. Made our casual lunch feel really relaxed.

The breakfast was fresh and beautifully presented. A nice glass of orange juice really set it off. A highlight of our Edinburgh trip.

Stopped in after a morning ride. Bike parking right outside was a plus. Had the avocado toast and a flat white. Quick service, decent portion. Good spot to refuel.
