The sizzling steak skillet was the star. Staff were really nice to my little one, which made a difference.

The calzone is huge, easily enough for two. The dough was crispy outside, soft inside. The filling was generous, really packed in there. For the price, you get a very filling meal.

The three-course set menu is a steal for the price. My cocktail was really well-balanced, not too sweet. The whole place has a cool, buzzy vibe.

this is one of our favourite places to eat whenever we have a family birthday or get-together. The food is beautifully prepared and presented, the service friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere welcoming. The only drawback is that we can't bring ourselves to try somewhere new!

Been coming here for years, and the jerk chicken is still the reason. It's always got that perfect smoky kick, never dry. The oxtail stew is solid too. Just wish they'd bring back the old rice and peas recipe, the new one's a bit different. Still, that chicken keeps me coming back.

Nice big pub with a cool indoor terrace. Grabbed the grilled chicken and a pint for £11.35 deal while watching the game. Solid spot for a casual drink.

A real gem in the Jewellery Quarter. The staff are so welcoming, and the chef is brilliant. Very dog-friendly too, which is a huge plus for us.

Sagar kept the drinks flowing at our work brunch - perfect for a group! The food was nice too.

The unlimited tea and coffee for £1.35 is such a good deal. The place itself is nice and bright, makes for a relaxed morning.

Been coming here for years. Friday nights are good, live music and no cover. The cellar's always kept right, decent ales on tap. Sunday breakfast is solid, nothing fancy but does the job.

This Toby Carvery offers a fantastic breakfast buffet with hot and tasty food. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it a great value for money.

Breakfast is always solid here, and the price is right. Got the full English last Saturday - everything cooked just right, no greasy fry-up vibes. Service kept up even with the place packed.

Lovely modern space. The chorizo starter was a nice surprise, really flavourful. Beef rib and chicken supreme mains were solid, good portions for the price. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Downstairs bar had live music later, a nice touch.

Emily and the team are always so friendly and attentive - makes it a great spot to catch up with friends.

Stopped in for a beer and ended up staying for two. The staff were so friendly and made it a very comfortable spot.

The breakfast was spot on. Eggs were cooked just right, bacon crisp. Coffee had a real kick, needed that before my round. Everything came out piping hot, which you don't always get. Solid start to the day.

Been coming here for years. The cooking is seriously good, you can tell they put real care into every dish. It's a proper step up from your average curry spot.

Kids eat free is a solid deal. Portions are big for what you pay, no complaints there. My little one cleared his plate, which says a lot. Good for a casual family meal when you just want something straightforward.

Finally got to try this place after hearing about it for ages. The food was spot on, really well done. The espresso was just okay, but everything else was lovely.

Great old building, full of character. Had a pint of Butty Bach here - really hit the spot. They've got a small beer garden out back, perfect for a quiet pint. A proper pub.

Nice spot by the canal, decent buzz. Had a pretty good lunch, the food was solid. The waterside tables are lovely on a sunny day. Service was a bit slow, but fine for a relaxed afternoon.

The Sunday roast was spot on. Not too heavy, just right for a lazy afternoon. Staff were friendly without being over the top. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Lovely staff, wonderful service and excellent food. It's a great pity though that the Tuna Abrizzese Salad -- their best dish and featured as the illustration on this page -- is no longer on the menu. In fact there are no salads on the menu at all except for side salads -- as a vegetarian that is something that I really miss.I'd also like to see a proper automatic door system fitted. The current front door is extremely heavy -- my mother can't open it on her own so doesn't go there any more without help. Worse than this, the door sticks fully open quite often as people leave, and when it's freezing outside if you're sitting by the window then it gets very cold very quickly. Small things which could make a big difference to our experience as regulars at this great restaurant.

Been coming here for years. Their fish and chips are spot on, crispy batter and the chips are proper. The Sunday roast is a solid choice too. Staff know their stuff when it comes to allergies, which is a relief.

Convenient canoe parking right by the river was a nice touch. The whole riverside setting just felt so relaxed and peaceful while we ate.

Popped in on a Tuesday night with a couple of friends. The staff were so lovely - they pointed out a few dishes we'd totally have missed. Made for a really fun, relaxed catch-up. The vibe was just right for a low-key group hangout.

A solid spot for families. The kids menu was decent, and they kept our little one busy with crayons and paper. Danni and Andrea were friendly and helpful. The high chairs were a bit wobbly though.

The staff here are so lovely. They remembered our table was celebrating a friend's new job and brought over a little extra dessert on the house. Really thoughtful touch that made the night. Service is definitely their strong point.

The welcome was lovely, but I really appreciated how fresh the ingredients were in my salad. Everything tasted so crisp and vibrant.

The staff were so helpful with the menu and made a lovely vegetarian option for me. Really appreciated their attention.
