Popped in for a quiet pint after work. The staff were really friendly, and the new menu is a big improvement. I had the fish and chips, which was spot on. A comfortable place to unwind.

The staff were very welcoming and professional.    Meal was plentiful and well cooked, maybe warm the plates to keep food hot.   Knifes need replacing as very blunt to cut meat, although we should have asked for replacements.   Nice atmosphere.

Being a birthday celebration lunch for my elder daughter, I wanted it to be a special occasion. In fact this turned out to be one of the most enjoyable lunches I&#39;ve recently experianced. First the staff on duty made us very welcome, and the service throughout was faultless. Both my daughter and myself chose from the daily lunch menu, and our choices for the main and dessert were excellent, and what a welcome change to have a real flavoursome main course.. Would definitely return.

Lovely old-world charm, the building is beautifully maintained. The bar area is particularly nice - had a great cocktail that paired well with my starter. A bit pricey for the drinks, but the setting was worth it.

Only the best is good enough, the Parson Clerk takes some beating for excellence, the management (Stacey) welcomes customers with a delightful smile, so too are the staff who always show their customers with polite smiling greetings and are always there for their needs.

Ollie was so on top of things tonight. Knew exactly when to check in and gave a great tip on the wine pairing for the lamb. Made the whole thing feel really relaxed.
