Busy when we got there around 9am, mostly locals. Got the breakfast plate with eggs and toast, plus coffee. Portion was decent for the price, not huge but fair. Food came out fast and tasted fresh. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot. Would go back if I'm in the area again.

The sardines here are really the reason to come—grilled perfectly, no fuss. I sat outside and the whole place has that classic Alvor feel, simple tables, nothing fancy. Service was a bit all over the place, but honestly the food carried it. I'd go back just for those sardines, maybe on a quieter day.

Stopped by for lunch and tried the Portuguese steak — really tender, sauce was proper. The waiter was running around non-stop but still managed to be nice about it. Place is small, feels like a family thing. Would go back for the arroz de marisco, heard it’s good too.

Came here twice while in town—the bolognese was spot on, really rich. Pizzas were good too. Staff super friendly, made it easy to come back.

Coffee’s still good and those handmade fries are the reason I keep coming back. Fair price for a quick lunch, nothing fancy but it does the job.

We stopped by for dinner and honestly, the lasagna was the star. Big portion, came out piping hot, and the cheese was properly melted. The pizza was fine too, but the lasagna is what I'd go back for. Bill for two with a carafe of house wine felt fair for what you get. Place is small and family-run, nothing fancy, but you don't need fancy when the food's like that. Left full, which is what matters.

Solid seafood pasta. Pesto one was good too. Sat outside on the deck, nice view of the square. Place was busy but not crazy. Price was fair for what you get. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Solid spot for a beer with a sea view. Outdoor seating's plentiful and right in the center. Prices fair. Staff honest—they flagged me down when I left change behind.

The oysters were really fresh, and the grilled fish was decent too. Sat right by the beach so the view did most of the work. Paid a bit more than I usually would for lunch, but the portion was fair for what you get. Not somewhere I'd go every week, but fine for a treat by the water.

The terrace is the spot—castle view and way more space than inside. Cataplana was tasty and huge, fed three of us easily. Just watch out, the starters they bring out aren’t free 😅

The veal stew was spot on, really tender. Prices are fair for the portion you get. Solid spot for Portuguese home cooking.

The pastel de nata here are some of the best I've had in Portugal, especially warm from the oven. The chocolate croissant is great too. I kept going back during my stay.

I had a wonderful experience with great food and friendly service. The ambiance on the terrace is unique and makes for a lovely dinner setting.

The service was fantastic from the minute we were greeted on the street. The food we ordered came to the table quickly and the highlights were the chicken tikka masala and dal. Everything was as described in terms and heat. The decor is a little tired but our waiter made up for that in the attention he paid to our table.

Joseph really makes the place. Funny, patient, knows the menu well. Piri piri chicken was tasty but the portion's a bit small. The homemade cheesecake though, that's the real deal.

Lovely spot right by the beach. The fish soup was really good and our waiter was so nice. Prices fair for being so close to the water.

Solid chorizo sandwich, decent price. Bar's got that rustic look. Staff knew what they were doing. Quick bite, no complaints.

Came here with a couple of friends on a random weekday and honestly the food was solid. We shared a few dishes and everything came out warm and tasty. Portions were decent for the price too. Service was chill, not hovering but there when we needed. Place got a bit loud later but whatever, it added to the vibe. Would come back for sure. 😊

The pizza’s always consistent—thick, cheesy, and loaded. That caldo verde with the garlic kick keeps me coming back.

Stopped here before heading up to the castle. Coffee was decent, pastel de nata fresh and flaky. Nice little break, nothing fancy. The egg custard was still warm, which I liked. Place gets busy, but it works for a quick stop.

The chef’s specials were solid—carpaccio, lamb chops, and steak all came out cooked right. They even brought a little amuse-bouche to start, which was a nice touch. Three floors of seating, so it never felt cramped. Just a heads up, it did get a bit noisy as the evening went on, but nothing that ruined the meal.

Service gets a bit slow when it’s packed, but the food’s solid and the staff are friendly. Nice spot to just chill and watch the sea. 🌊

Went back two nights in a row, that never happens for me. The tomato tortellini was properly rich and creamy, exactly what I wanted on a chilly evening. Chocolate cake with caramel on top finished it well. Portions work if you're sharing tapas-style. Service stayed steady both visits, no complaints there. Just wish they had a bit more space between tables, felt a little close to the next couple. Still, solid spot.

Great spot for a beer and a burger. Sem at the bar was super friendly and gave us some local tips. Happy hour was the highlight for sure. 🍺

The burrata here is really good. They put it on so many dishes and it always tastes fresh. I had the Scartuccio focaccia with pesto and ham, that was the highlight for me. The staff were friendly and let me take my time. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but it was a nice relaxed lunch overall.

An excellent Portuguese restaurant Went on evening of medieval fair in Silves and booked online as reviews were goodWe were a bit put out by the unappealing old fashioned pictures of menu on walls outside which would have normally stopped us going in if walking by . However everything was very good . Delicious simple tasty Portuguese food , grilled fish , meat , shellfish all very well cooked . Service very helpful and friendly , good wine list .Very reasonable prices

The grilled octopus was the standout — perfectly charred and tender. Service kept things easygoing. Left full and satisfied.
