The pasta was fresh, really good. Pizza too. Service is friendly but slow when it gets busy, we waited a while for the bill. Still, the food made up for it.

The grilled octopus was the standout — tender, smoky, charred just right. The new chef definitely knows what he’s doing with the menu. Wine pairing was solid too. Service was fine, but honestly I was too busy eating to care much. Would come back just for that dish.

Came back twice in one week—the grilled octopus was spot on. Right across from Camping Alvor, easy stop.

The lamb momos were so good, we ordered a second plate. My friend got the chicken cham cham and honestly I was too busy stealing bites to take a photo 😅 spice level was easy to adjust which is great cause I'm a wimp. Place is small but perfect for a catch-up dinner.

The pizza was solid — good dough, plenty of toppings. Service lagged a bit though, took a while to get our drinks refilled.

The bifana here hit the spot. Pork was tender, plenty of garlic and that spicy kick. Bun held up without getting soggy. Waiter knew his stuff, pointed me to the piri-piri sauce on the side. Place was busy but we got a table quick. Only thing, the fries were a bit limp. Still, solid meal for the price.

The açaí bowl was fresh and really tasty—probably the best I had in Portugal. The flat white was solid too. Service was friendly and the seating was comfortable enough to linger a bit.

Food was fresh. Ordered prawn salad, chicken wrap, salmon wrap and Golfland burger and everything was fresh and tasted great.

Everything we tried was really good. Big portions and tasty. The veggie dim sums were delicious, some of the best of tried, from the beef, to the stir fry and curries, all was fresh and full of flavour. The waiter was vey nice too.

Wonderfully charming and homey ambiance you feel as though you’ve walked into someone’s dining room. One suggestion take a taxi as getting here can be challenging, it’s located in a residential neighborhood with very steep hills and narrow streets. And our GPS got confused and we drove around in circles. It’s a set menu for 38€, 7 courses, five starters and two mains one fish and meat. All of the dishes are authentic Portuguese cuisine and mostly seafood. Truly fresh ingredients, some highlights fresh clams in a garlic butter sauce, lightly battered shrimp, fresh fish with homemade pasta in a light broth with piri piri and cilantro. The pork on the bone in a light stew was so incredibly tender and juicy. The mini dessert sampler was fantastic! The almond crunch was fantastic as was the lemon and carob cakes. The service was excellent and our waiter is the son of the owner’s and his Mom is the chef who we met and thanked her for a truly phenomenal and special meal.

A beautiful relaxed setting to watch the sunset! We really enjoyed our meal: red sangria, grilled shrimp and calimari to start, sea bass, clams and frites, profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Very affordable too.

Always a delight to eat here. Fresh ingredients, no skimping on flavours and spices, brilliantly cooked and friendly, professional, efficient service.

Everything was perfect. Table on the terrace, great bottle of wine (Paxa Reserve) and lovely food. The service was excellent, as always

Decent spot for a group dinner. Six of us with kids, bill came out pretty reasonable for what we got. Food was fine, nothing fancy but solid.

Steak was spot on. Cooked exactly how I asked, proper flavor. They know their local wines too — let them pick and it worked. Place was busy but not chaotic. Solid dinner, nothing fancy. Would go back if I'm in the area again.

Good quality food and flavour (Chicken ceasar salad, mushroom risotto, burger). Happy that offer an early dinner time with a bit of a view of the sunset. Will go back again.

Stopped here during the cliff walk and it was a nice break. Had the Camilo chicken, really well cooked, and oysters tasted fresh. Porto Tonic was good too. Service was quick, which I appreciated. Slightly pricey but the view made up for it. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but overall a pleasant stop.

Dining at Senses was a fantastic experience! The attention to detail in each dish was remarkable, and the ambiance was perfect for a special occasion.

Amazing food, great views and wonderful staff. This is a great spot for amazing food, great shrimp appetizer! And fresh fish…. I could just go on and on… please try!!

Simply excellent cuisine!! Quality of fish and meat is really good and Andy is a very talented chef. To recommend absolutely!!

The fish soup was proper, really rich flavour. Baked octopus came out tender, not chewy at all. Sat outside by the water, which made it better. Staff were friendly enough, though we did wait a bit between courses. Still, that soup alone is worth stopping for if you're passing through the village.

The sea bass was really fresh, grilled just right. We had it with garlic potatoes, simple and tasty. Sitting by the marina made it feel relaxed. Only thing—they brought appetizers we didn't ask for, and those got charged. Just keep that in mind. Otherwise, a pleasant spot for a quiet meal.

The grilled fish here is really straightforward, no fancy tricks. I had the tuna belly and gambas, both were tasty and fresh. Sat near the window, chairs were comfortable enough to just relax and enjoy the meal. Service was friendly, didn't have to wait long for anything. A nice spot if you want a simple, honest meal without any hassle.

great food, charming ambience set in authentic part of town (fisherman's port). attentive service (brought my daughters blankets due to the wind).

Been coming here for a while now. The gelato's got that proper creamy texture, not too sweet. Tried the fig-almond last week, really liked it. They switch up the flavors pretty often, which keeps it interesting. One scoop's enough for me. Place gets busy after dinner, but it moves fast.

If you haven’t done your homework you will never find this little gem. It’s down a back street off the main drag where if you like delicious food you would avoid. The atmosphere is welcoming with a lovely buzz. The staff are happy and proud of what they serve you. The fresh fish is out of this world especially the seafood rice and the catch of the day. Recommended *****

Gluten-free options in Lagos are usually a joke, but this place got it right. Had the chocolate mousse cake with mascarpone—actually safe and properly tasty. Owner was nice, place was clean. Just wish they had more than one dessert option, but I wasn't complaining after that slice.

The tasting menu with wine pairing was well thought out—really inventive flavors. Staff made sure we were comfortable the whole evening. Nice spot for a long dinner.

Pizza's my usual go-to here, honestly. Staff are always friendly and service is quick enough for a casual catch-up with friends. 🍕

Mentes tapas bar serves fantastic Portuguese style tapas dishes. The service was super friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cozy and we were seated at a large table which was great so you had lots of space to share all the tasty tapas. The beef strips with pepper sauce, the melted goat cheese, the home made tacos and the garlic prawns were all fantastic. The flavors are nicely balanced and the portions are perfect for sharing. We completed our meal with an exquisite chocolate petit gateau and a tasty lemoncake with ice cream. The gateau was the best we have tasted in a while, in fact it was so good we ended up ordering another extra gateau. A special compliment for the manager, she really made us feel very welcome and ensured everything ran very smoothly during our thoroughly enjoyable evening. I would definitely recommend visiting Mentes tapas and we will be coming back again soon.
