The fried calamari and shrimp were so fresh. The batter was light and crispy, not heavy or oily at all. You could really taste the seafood itself. Just a shame the portion felt a bit small for the price.

The wine list is seriously impressive. So many local options. I love that you can get some of the nicer bottles by the glass. Makes it feel a bit more special.

Our pup gets so excited when we pull up here! They always have a water bowl ready for him, and the staff is so sweet. We shared the truffle fries and a burger — perfect for a casual catch-up with friends. A bit noisy inside, but we love the patio.

Great spot for a quick bite after visiting the cathedral. Fast service, even when busy.

We really enjoyed the beautiful ambiance, friendly and attentive staff and excellent meal on Christmas Day. It was a leisurely day and meal! The food quality was excellent and the portions, generous. Many courses…we enjoyed every dish and will return!

Very nice restaurant, food was amazing with great presentation and revisiting the traditional Liguria’s dish with an innovative eye. Only drawback, the terrace is beautiful and overlooking the sea but not on the sea, the main road is just below…. And the house wine was not at level with the food but wine cart was great

The dining experience at Esoticum was exquisite - the was extraordinary, unique and very tasty. The service and atmosphere very pleasant and friendly. Undoubtedly an experience to repeat and I can strongly recommend it to everyone.

I recommend this restaurant, people are friendly and kind the food are delicious and the environment is clean and cozy.

They found us a table quickly even on a busy night, which was so nice. The pizzas came out fast and were really good. The gorgonzola and spicy salami one was my favorite. A very comfortable, easy dinner.

This place is a hidden gem with Mediterranean flavors in a rustic setting. The wine selection is impressive, and the food is expertly prepared, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy quality cuisine.

It definitely should be 5/5 stars without no doubt! Highly recommend! We will come back again! The service was so great, they even came out of the restaurant to help us to find a parking spot! The foods were excellent with such affordable price! The taste, the quantity and the quality are all super! They also serve the kid menu with 3 courses in 15 euros. Our kid really enjoy it!I don’t understand why the reviews ion Google is so low, yet due to our experiences, we think the reviews like 1/5 or 2/5 were not true anymore.Ppl should cone and try by themselves! You won’t be disappointed!

Love the sandwich options here. You can go with their combos or customize your own with all the toppings.

Busy spot, definitely book ahead. Got the classic Genoese pasta, came out quick and hit the spot. Solid food, clean place. Perfect for a quick lunch.

The restaurant is a gem! Fast and friendly service and a very cozy atmosphere. The food is AMAZING! We ordered trofie al pesto, steak, and octopus, and they have an excellent wine list! The owner, Valerio, was very friendly and welcoming! The restaurant is a must in Genoa! Absolutely, we'll go again.

Grilled sea bream was spot on. The seafood platter too – everything tasted just-caught fresh. Found a crisp white wine that really let the flavors shine. A bit pricey, but you're paying for that quality.

Quick bite during lunch break. Staff was friendly and helpful, got my order fast. Food was decent for the price.

Excellent food, plus traditional with a creative touch: starter, main, and dessert alike. Most gracious service. Waiting time a bit excessive though, as lasted more than two hours (plus to get there from downtown you need some 20 minutes). Still, food wise, totally recommendable.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The prosciutto panini was solid, bread crisp and filling generous. Coffee's decent too. Good spot for a reliable bite when you're in the area.

Loved the cozy feel of this family-run spot in the old town alleys. The trofie pasta with pesto was fantastic, but the real star was the atmosphere. It felt just like eating in a nonna's kitchen, so warm and welcoming.

Nice little spot for a catch-up. The drinks are interesting - tried a gin cocktail with some kind of herb I couldn't place. Staff were friendly without hovering. Just a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

The roast pork special was really good. Tender, with a nice flavor. A solid choice for a weeknight dinner. The price was a bit high for the portion, but I'd order it again.

The food is lovely, and the prices are fair. What stood out for me was how comfortable the seating was—I never felt rushed to leave. A nice, relaxed spot.

Found this spot in a quiet alley. The handwritten menu is a nice touch. Their ravioli ragu was great, and the house red was a perfect match.

The farinata was sensational, so light and crispy. The cheese focaccia too, just perfect. It's a tiny space though, maybe four tables inside? Got lucky with a spot.

Cozy spot, always buzzing. Got a table early, watched it fill up. The house red was surprisingly good for the price, went nicely with the pasta. A bit loud later on, but that's the vibe.

Veracruz is a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Genoa! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the Tommy's Margarita is a must-try. The tacos are fresh and bursting with flavor, making it a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine.

We had a lovely meal in a beautiful location, enjoying the outdoor seating in the piazza. The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic!

The seafood pasta here is the main draw. Generous portion, lots of fresh clams and shrimp. The sauce is light but flavorful, just the right amount of garlic. That's what I come back for.

Prices are fair for the neighborhood. The tiramisu was a nice finish. I appreciated the wine list—found a decent Chianti that went well with my pasta.
