The interior is what got me — old-fashioned, warm, lots of little details to look at. We had the spaghetti au gratin and sausage salad, both solid. Prices are fair for what you get. Just remember to bring cash, they don't take cards. Would've liked a bit more space between tables, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, place was packed but we got our food fast. Had the Käsespätzle, pretty solid comfort food. Also tried the pork from their own farm, you can tell it's good quality. The homemade ice cream after was a nice touch. Nothing fancy, just honest cooking.

We stopped by on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t too busy. The food was solid, home-style cooking. I had the schnitzel and it came out hot and crispy. The waiter checked on us a couple times, which was nice. Parking was easy to find right behind the building. Only thing is the place is a bit small, so tables are close together. But for a casual dinner, it worked fine.

The Baden-style stew was really hearty, lots of flavor in there. They even brought a little amuse-bouche first, which I didn't expect. Portion was big, honestly almost too much for me. Price seemed fair for what you get. I'd say it's a solid spot if you're hungry and want something comforting.

Big portions, food came fast. Solid spot for a quick bite without spending much. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Stopped by for dinner and honestly the owner’s wine suggestion paired perfectly with my pasta. Nice to see someone who actually knows their list. They even brought out a cheese plate for the kid without us asking. Place was a bit loud but cozy. Would come back for the house red alone.

Came with ten people for a birthday. Food was hot and arrived all at once, which never happens with big groups. Portions are huge, took half my plate home. Solid Swabian spot.

Called ahead for a date night and they decorated the table without fuss. Nice touch, honestly. Food was solid too. Been here a few times now, still consistent.

Nice terrace and the location is super convenient. Prices are a bit steep but portions are generous, so it kinda balances out. Salad was fresh too. Good spot for hanging with friends 🙂

Stopped by for a quick bite. Food came out fast and hot, which is all I really ask for. Place had a decent buzz, not too loud. Solid spot if you're in a hurry and just need something decent without the fuss. I'd grab lunch here again.

The seating area felt a bit cramped, but the service handled our big group really well. Traditional German food came out fast even with 60 people at lunch. Solid spot.

The schnitzel with fries is still my go-to here. Fish was more like small nuggets, but everything's fried and tasty. Good spot to sit down and eat.

The room balcony had a nice view over the vineyard, that was a good start. Breakfast on the terrace was simple but fresh, the eggs tasted like they were from nearby. Olga at the front desk helped us figure out the local bus schedule, which was a relief. Only thing, the coffee could've been stronger. But for a quiet stay, it worked.

The beef liver with fried potatoes really hit the spot. Liver was cooked just right, not dry at all. Käsespätzle was solid too, though I wish there was a bit more cheese on top. Service was quick, which I appreciated. Good spot if you're in Schönwald and want something hearty.

We stumbled in without a reservation and got a nice table outside. The duck was the highlight — crispy skin, tender meat. The staff brought a little smoothie while we waited for our order, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, though it took a while for the main course to arrive. Would come back for that duck.

Solid Swabian food in a beautiful old building. Had the schnitzel, came out fast and hot. Place was packed but service kept up fine. Good spot for a quick lunch if you're in the area.

Small spot, gets warm and cramped when it's full. Front rows are all decent though, so no bad seats. Just don't expect much elbow room.

Stopped by without a reservation and got a nice table. The German-Croatian fusion is interesting - my schnitzel was fresh, not greasy at all. Waitress knew the menu well. Cozy spot, though it got a bit loud later.

The grilled squid was fresh, not rubbery at all. Garlic spaghetti had just enough kick without being greasy. Simple combo, worked well together. I'd go back for that dish alone. Maybe ask for extra lemon on the side though, I like mine tangy.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. Traditional two-floor place, proper Black Forest vibe. Food was solid, service efficient. Prices fair for the area. No complaints, though nothing blew me away either. Fine if you're nearby and want something straightforward.

Stopped by without a reservation, left impressed. Chestnut soup and venison were spot on. Staff even made off-menu schnitzel for the kids. Solid spot.

The roast beef with onions and spaetzle was incredibly tender — that alone made the visit worth it. Service felt warm and genuine. Prices are a bit steep, but for the quality I can't complain.

Came here on a friend's tip and the cocktails were solid. Service was friendly and the seats were comfortable enough to stay for another round.

The chef actually came by our table to see how things were. That was a nice touch. Food was solid and the price felt fair for what you get.

Right on the main market, nice for people-watching. We sat outside, tried a few things—all fresh and tasty. Menu's pretty big too.

Been coming here for a while now, breakfast is always solid. Eggs Benedict and a cappuccino this time, same as usual. Staff's friendly, never had a problem with the order. It's just a reliable spot, you know? Not much else to say.

The staff still took care of us right before their break, and the Spätzle was so good even the picky kid asked for more 😄
