That calzone was enormous. Seriously good, too. Probably the best thing I ate in Iceland. I had a local beer with it, which worked way better than I expected. Only thing: the parking lot was pure ice when we left. Nearly went down. Still, I'd take that again.

The staff really took their time explaining the daily specials in English, which I appreciated as a tourist. Food was solid, nothing mind-blowing but comforting.

The almond croissant here is seriously good—flaky, not too sweet, and the filling actually tastes like real almonds. I grabbed one before heading to the botanic garden and it hit the spot. Sandwiches looked solid too, though I didn’t try one. Service was friendly, nothing fancy. Place is small but fine for a quick stop.

The pizza was decent, fresh ingredients and a nice thin crust. Local beer on tap was a good pick too. Just wish the lighting was a bit brighter inside.

Smoked salmon bagel was solid, toasted just right. Good drink selection too. Prices fair for the neighborhood.

The baked cod with potatoes and hollandaise was honestly the highlight of my trip so far. So fresh, and the sauce was just right. It's not cheap, but I left feeling like it was worth it. Wish I had room to try more.

Stopped here right after landing — needed food that wasn’t gonna wreck my stomach. Gluten and dairy free options are usually sad, but this was actually decent. Got the lamb, cooked properly, not dry. Mountain view from the table was a nice touch too. Service was a bit slow, but I wasn’t in a rush.

Went for the fish stew. That’s it. Rich broth, tender chunks, proper seasoning. Ate it too fast, honestly. Didn’t even look at the menu after that. If you’re here, just order that and skip the rest. No need to think about it.

The tasting menu really stood out—each course felt carefully put together. Staff knew their stuff when I asked about ingredients. Relaxed vibe, nothing fussy.

Popped in for coffee, stayed for the fish soup. So hearty on a cold day. The room had this quiet warmth that made me want to linger.

Lovely garden spot for a coffee and a quiet read. The waffles hit the spot, though the menu's pretty small. A glass of something crisp would've made it even better. Service was friendly enough.

Tempura curry was solid. Rich sauce, crispy batter, and the salad on the side cut through it nicely. Sushi plate was average, nothing special. But that curry hits the spot for a quick lunch. Place was busy but I got my food fast. Good enough for a stop if you're nearby.

Been coming here for a while now. The salad bar stays fresh and stocked every single time, which is why I keep going back. Price is fair too, especially for Reykjavik.

The bar area has this nice warm glow, wooden tables, not too loud. I sat by the window and the light was perfect for a slow afternoon. Fish and chips were solid, crispy batter, not greasy. The bartender picked a tasting for me that matched what I usually like. Only thing is the stools are a bit hard after an hour.

The only Chinese spot in Reykjavik I keep going back to. Staff actually remember you, which is nice. Food's reliable—got the fried noodles last time, decent portion. Not mind-blowing, but solid for a weeknight. Place gets a bit busy around 7, but it's fine.

Nice little place, tea and cakes were good. Chocolates looked tempting too. Mostly locals grabbing takeaway, only a couple tables inside. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Been coming here for years—still the best kebab in Reykjavík. Meat’s always fresh, and the staff actually fixed the vending machine at 2am once. That stuck with me.

Stopped in on a whim and got the lamb nihari. Meat was properly tender, fell apart easy. Chef came by to check if we wanted it spiced up. Decent spot off the tourist path.

The green curry and pad thai were both tasty. Staff let us order even though they were close to closing—appreciated that. Good spot if you're plant-based.

The breakfast here is what keeps me coming back. Had the scrambled eggs and they were cooked just right, soft and buttery. No complaints about the food itself. It's a bit out of the way from the main tourist areas, but that's fine. Just good food without the fuss.

The lamb soup here is what keeps me coming back. Deep, rich broth, chunks of meat that actually taste like something. Had it last week and still thinking about it. It's not cheap, but the bowl is generous. Skip everything else if you want, just get the soup.

The QR code allergen menu was a lifesaver — made ordering so easy with my food allergies. Sweet and sour dish hit the spot too.

Came here on a busy afternoon and the line was long, but it went fast. Got a scoop of the salted caramel — creamy, not too sweet. Price was fair for the size, honestly bigger than I expected. Would've liked a bit more variety in flavors though. Still, solid stop if you're nearby.
