Tried the wagashi-making class. The instructor was patient and explained things well, even for us foreigners. Making the sweets was a nice, hands-on experience. Ending it with matcha and tasting what we made was a good finish.

Stopped by Maneki no Ekisoba on the Himeji Station platform while waiting for my train. Got the Kitsune Ekisoba. The portion was really generous for the price, I couldn't even finish it all. The thin noodles were nice. Good for a quick, filling meal before a trip.

Open 24 hours, and the counter seats by the window have power outlets. Perfect for charging my phone while I work.

The Dark Mocha Frappuccino was good, but the real moment was when the barista offered extra chocolate sauce on the house. Just a small, kind gesture that felt genuine.

The skirt steak was so tender, and the turmeric rice had a lovely aroma. I really appreciated how fresh the ingredients tasted. The portion was generous too.

A short walk from Himeji Station's north exit. The sweets are so elegantly presented, it's hard to pick just one. I had a matcha parfait and the bitterness paired nicely with a simple hojicha tea. The shop itself is quite small, so getting a seat might require a bit of patience.

A nice find for a quick bite. The counter seats have power outlets, so I could charge my phone while eating. The draft beer was surprisingly good for the price, a crisp lager that went well with the fried chicken. The chicken itself was just okay, a bit dry. But that beer hit the spot.

Coffee's just right. Smooth, not too bitter. Good for a quick pick-me-up.

A minute from Himeji Station. Counter seats have power outlets, good for getting some work done.

The tempura was crisp, not greasy. Eel portion is on the smaller side, but the set comes with free rice refills. Good for a quick, filling lunch near the office.

The carrot cake was deliciously moist and warm, but the real star was how well it paired with a glass of tawny port. A very satisfying dessert.

Been coming here for years. Their almond toast is the real deal - thick bread, lots of topping. Simple, but it always hits the spot.

The oyster set was a bit extravagant but worth it. Plump oysters, and the fried ones were crispy.

The space here is really nice and open, feels relaxing. They even have a smoking section outside, which is pretty handy. Just sat with a latte for a while, good for a quiet break.

This place has been around since 1975, so you know it's a local spot. I got the almond toast everyone talks about. The bread itself had this interesting, almost nutty flavor. The almond spread was sweet and rich. For the price, the portion was really generous—I was full until dinner.

Spring strawberry daifuku was a nice surprise, with a unique bean paste.

The salted butter bread is so addictive, perfect for sharing with friends!

My bean paste donut expert friend gave this his stamp of approval. The dough was so fluffy, and the filling wasn't overly sweet. The melon bread was a nice surprise too—really soft and warm. A solid find!
