The Sunday roast was lovely. I really appreciated the dairy-free gravy option. The beef was tender, and the selection of vegetables was fresh and well-prepared. A nice, hearty meal.

Brought the pup along and they had a dog bed ready, plus some treats. That's proper dog-friendly. Made it easy to just relax and enjoy the meal.

A proper pub, and they welcome dogs which is a plus. Had a decent pint of local bitter here. The place is spotless and has a lift for accessibility. Just a shame the wine list is a bit basic for my taste.

Great spot for a hot chocolate with all the trimmings. Sat by the window watching the sea, it was just the right kind of cosy. Prices are fair for the location.

Just needed a quick coffee and used their free WiFi. The staff were friendly enough. It's a typical Spoons, so you know exactly what you're getting. The coffee was fine, but honestly, for the price, I've had better. It does the job if you're in a pinch.

Decided to try their weekday fry-up buffet. It's on from 11am to 1pm. The sausages were proper, bacon crispy. Service was quick, got my coffee refilled without asking. Good spot for a late breakfast.

The Sunday carvery is a real treat. Their wine list had a lovely red that paired beautifully with the roast.

A proper old-school pub! The staff were really friendly, made it a nice spot to catch up with friends.

The Sunday roast is the reason to come here. The beef was tender and the gravy had a good depth of flavour.

Great spot for breakfast. Food was cooked well, not greasy. They're dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. The service was quick, but the coffee selection was a bit basic for my taste. Could use a proper flat white or a decent breakfast cocktail option.

Came for a quiet lunch and it delivered. The space is really calm, with nice natural light and comfy chairs. My food arrived piping hot, which was a plus. Just a peaceful spot to unwind.

Really appreciated how they handled my dietary needs. The staff took the time to go through the menu with me, pointing out what could be adapted. My salad was made fresh without the dressing I can't have. It's so nice when a place actually listens.

Service can drag a bit when they're packed, but the team's always smiling and hustling. Honestly, the food makes a short wait totally fine.

The battered garlic mushrooms were so good, I almost forgot to order the Lincolnshire sausages. 😄 Really solid homemade food, and the bill didn't hurt at all. Just a nice, simple spot.

Lovely Christmas dinner, the beef was cooked just right. The seats were quite comfortable, which made for a relaxing evening.

Been coming here for years, and the recent refurb is lovely. Still the same cosy spot by the fire for a Sunday roast. That’s what keeps me coming back.

Sunday lunch was tasty, beef was good and plenty of veggies. Quick service for a busy day.

Came in with a friend who has serious allergies. Heidi and chef Becca took it really seriously, checked everything twice. Felt safe, could actually relax for once.

Nice, traditional pub. The fish and chips were spot on - crispy batter, proper chips. A solid choice for a reliable meal.

The Batemans ales on tap are a proper treat. They always seem to pour a perfect pint here. The gin selection looks impressive too, though I haven't tried it yet. Just a really solid, cosy spot for a drink.

Love the baguette specials here. The ingredients always taste so fresh and vibrant.

Really liked the different rooms and levels, made our catch-up feel more private. Buffet was solid, plenty of tea and coffee to keep us going.

The staff were so lovely. They noticed we were new and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Really appreciated the friendly chat, it made a difference.

The lasagne was really good. But the portions are just massive - we couldn't finish the ploughman's and had to get a box. It's a lot of food for the price, for sure.

Lovely spot in the village centre. Had a late lunch here after a long walk. The fish and chips were spot on – crispy batter, proper chips. Service was friendly, if a little slow. Just what we needed.

Had a lovely two-night stay at the Red Lion. Their Sunday roast is a proper draw – the place was packed with locals. The sommelier’s wine pairing suggestion for the beef was spot on, really lifted the whole meal. Would definitely book a table next time.

Lovely staff and a proper pint of Guinness. The stew was hearty and just right for a rainy day.

The cowboy burger was really good, juicy and cooked just right. The rest of the meal was fine, but that burger is the reason I'll be back.
